whats better proxy vs VPN for anonymity

hey guys I have been looking to buy a paid ELITE proxy or VPN .... but the thing is I cannot decide what is better of them both. What offers more protection ???
Advantage & Disadvantages of both services, all in all need to make a decision and if you guys have any suggestions for what to get don't forget to mention it ............

usually VPN-like solution is more expensive then HTTP/Socks proxy. as for anonymity : VPN encrypts all data that is transmitting thru tunnel, so HTTP traffic (your host <-> VPN) will be protected in case of VPN out of the box.

how expensive I have seen prices at 5 dollars a month or have I been checking out the wrong stuff???
 
$5 - typical price for the cheapest vps plan with openvpn installed in the cloud, so it sounds realistic, if you trust this provider then - go
anyway proxies are usually used to get a huge pool of IPs, not for providing any sort of strong anonymity (on the way from you to proxy server), I'd start from that

I have figured it out that vpn is the best option to buy for anonymitys sake , but the question is how to purchase these vpns anonymously??? I mean most of the vpn providers in their privacy law state that they do not log information , so cannot handover any information in the case of being subpeonaed(hope I spelt it right). They do mention this while they don't save information , their payment processors do otherwise. is there a way around for this...

is there any other way besides bitcoins... I checked 1 bitcoin costs around 200 euros that's an expensive option for just buying a vpn

you dont have to buy 200euros worth of bitcoin for just paying 5euros bitcoin. you can buy any amount of bitcoin.
 
I don't know what you are going to do with vpn, but there is another free way to get anonymous

You can simply use tor browser for browsing the internet or for more advance, you can try search "tor operating system", there will be an operating system which generally routing all your traffic through tor network

Depends on how you will be using it. If you're looking to use it on popular sites to spam then the most popular vpns shouldn't be your first choice. They will usually have a lot of their IPs blacklisted.
 
Proxys are safe but i think nothing is safe as VPN are.

Check on forums most of people are complaining that they can't use facebook, youtube even with proxys.
 
Depends what you need it for. I would go with VPN. Way easier to set it up and work with it
