I wonder what you don't like in WordPress?
Because for sure there are such things.

Also you can write what you really like :)

Cheers, Greg.

It can be slow if there are loads of plugins enabled and you usually need several plugins.

Other than that it's perfect in my opinion - open sourced, good with seo, free, everyone is using it, loads of plugins available etc.

i like everything except this shit can be hacked easily. lost one perspective site due to this crap

WP is universal, it cost a lot of server resources and time too.
However the best things can be included.

we cannot use some plugins without paying
Plugins are created by WP users, where sometimes a lot of time needed to create it.

It's free who can complain?
Just I would like to know what WP users don't like and what can be better.
Maybe WP need solid competitor ? ;)

Good point to be better and not so much complicated :)

Cheers, Greg.

Slow as dirt out of the box, vulnerable to attacks, uses worst programming language (php)

I've seen a few discussions here and there that people are switching from WordPress to some other platforms because of speed. I checked these platforms and yeah indeed the speed was much much faster than WordPress even on optimized sites.

I don't see myself switching from WordPress anytime soon, but technology evolves so who knows when we will have to switch?

That is slow everyone know.
That is vulnerable to attacks too.
Why in your opinion php is wrong ?

Nothing it makes money without charging me a penny
Not so true ---> Google ;)
But in most cases you're right.

technology evolves so who knows when we will have to switch?
What you will tell about all in one - few clicks and best SEO practices included + 2ms page rendering ?
Plus safety and easy manage even 100 WP from one place ?

Cheers, Greg.

I don’t like the blog commenting. I wish this feature was added as a plugin or at least disabled by default.

I also dislike Tags.

I'm a fan of Wordpress, but is very greedy in resources... Specially when you go crazy with plugins.
For example, BBpress sux really hard in terms of functionality, and goes 5 times slower than SMF or Xenforo that are fully features...

But I really like BBpress because I can integrate it in a WP site and can develop some extra functionality without having to understand the SMF/Xenforo essentials...

So ultimately I may prefer to go with a 16Gb AWS/DigitalOcean for $80 to maintain a shitty BBpress, than going with a 4Gb OVH VPS for $10 to have the same in SMF.

Wordpress is health :D

It's easier to sell sites as most people can work on wordpress. So from a sellers perspective, it's appealing to buyers.

It's hideously insecure!

There are even sites dedicated to listing known vulnerabilities for pentesters to exploit them

it's not actually about Wordpress, but i don't like this whole "Plug & Play" sort of mentality.

i dont like the new editor, i always add more than 30 image to my article, in classic i can select all of them and boom all the image is inserted to the post, but now,,, add new block - select image block - pick the image - insert, and do this for another 29 image wtf . . . gallery is not helping coz the ads cant show between the image.:weep:
