What would you do as an admin here at BHW?

Autoclose threads inactive more then a month. Keeps the forum fresh and free from reincarnated old threads.

In response to the negative statements about the Mods of BHW, I will say this:

1) For those of you who think this is a "Glory Gig", you are mistaken.
It requires hours of work on a daily basis and tons of responsibility
for which we receive no compensation whatsoever.

2) If you think that the Mods are some kind of "good old boys"
club where we can operate however we wish, you are mistaken.
In fact, we must adhere to MUCH stricter guidelines than the
rest of the members. We make decisions every day that can
affect the lives and livelihood of other members, and if we
mess up, we have to answer to an Administrator . . . and if
we mess up too often, we are subject to being demoted.

Granted, we are not perfect, but I can honestly say from
looking at other internet marketing forums that we have
the most fair, well-conducted, and efficiently moderated
forum of ANY of them.

3) We show NO FAVORITISM to ANYONE on BHW. The playing
field is level, and if we DID show favoritism to some "select
few", we would soon lose our position as a staff member.
I have many friends on BHW, but I can say with certainty
that most of them are aware that I separate our friendship
from my job as a Mod.

Being a Mod on BHW is not an easy job and that is why
there are so few of us. The subtle details, requirements,
restrictions, and code of conduct would take FOUR threads
to list them all.

To sum it up, we (the staff) sincerely care about BHW and
ALL of the members. We do our best to help make BHW a
great experience and a great forum. There are lots of
members here who appreciate what we do, and some
who don't, but that is how it goes when one is in a
position of authority.

Cheers! - "Wiz"

@gypsyroad - I am surprised, where you got this info of mods are selected becoz being good in seo, coding websites etc etc.,

As you quoted member mohammedsuhaib posts, let me clear something here..

Member Mohammedsuhaib has been served 7 days ban by me related to this post...

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/buy-sell-services/446357-vitarank-get-1-google-panda-penguin-safe-amazing-results-10-keywords-21.html#post4841126

Mohammedsuhaib's post

Wow.. I would say its a bit extreme to issue perm ban...

When we mods initiating any ban, commenting on our action could not be tolerated. Due to that ban, member mohammedsuhaib asked us to mellow down a bit. But BHW BST is not a place to post your opinion on mods decision.

As wiz said above..
There are lots of members here who appreciate what we do, and some who don't, but that is how it goes when one is in a position of authority.

How about making an obligatory quiz for everyone who wants to join the forum before he/she can sign up? The Quiz should contain very basic IM/SEO Questions like:

1. What does SEO stand for?
a) Self Explained Organization
b) Sell Ether Online
c) Search Engine Optimization

2. What is SEM?

3. What is PPC/PPV/CPA...?

4. ...

Everyone who is able to answer such Questions will most likely never make a Thread / Post Questions like the ones you can find in the thread BHWs-stupidest-questions...

Cheers
how many answers did YOU knew when you joined????
not good suggestion IMO.

The idea behind this is to make sure that anybody who joins the forum is actually capable of using a searchfunction...

Most of the mode I have deal with are really friendly like tonlilaz (Old Mod), zen19, wiz and Bigbuddy..They are serving bhw really well by giving their precious time to do all those things..So its really appreciated

Well, I disagree. If you can't communicate using English, then sure as hell Google Translate is not going to help you get your message across. IMHO this is a major headache with this forum.

I know many people who don't have good english skills but they are banking really hard using some good method posted here..You Don't need any qualification to start your Internet marketing career..;)
