What would be better than Adsense for me?

Hi all!

I have a website that has around 4000-5000 visitors per month, more when I post updates and new articles. The earnings through Google Adsense made me a little demotivated and I've also been pretty busy. Without posting anything for a month I still had 4000 visitors, mainly US visitors but also all around the world.
I launched the website in June 2019 and only earned 27 dollars.
I believe I have a good niche, I'm not making enough new articles and social media promotion, I need to do more. I will also launch a store to sell products on the website but it's not its main purpose, that one being info about a certain niche.
But I was wondering if another platform like Adsense, a more agressive one (popups whatever) would work for me. I know people will click no matter what.
I'm just a little scared to leave Adsense for something less interesting.

Let me know what you think, if you know any other method (white hat/black hat included) for more traffic also.

You could give media.net a try and see what happens. I earned half of what I did with Adsense but maybe it will be different for your niche.

If you get rejected, just take a screenshot of your Google Analytics page and send in an appeal but make sure it's mostly tier 1 traffic.

There are other networks but they pay less than AdSense.
