What volume for a long tail keyword?

Hello BHW friends,

I'm starting a new blog and I'd like to hear about your experiences with long tail keywords.

I'm thinking of focusing on keywords from 10 to 50 searches per month to start this new project, but I'm not sure. Between 15 and 30 articles only to start.

What do you think about this strategy?

Are long tail keywords still useful in 2018?

What is your opinion about this kind of keywords for a new website?

The number of search volume differ from niche to niche. Longtail keyword is still going on and hopes to continue 2019.

It's tricky as sometimes the 50 searches a month keyword can be as competitive as the 200+ visitors. There are a lot more factors. Try checking out your competitors manually as well.

Keyword needs to be perfect with some searches and low competition then only it is fine to use. Long tails are always preferred reason may be they are easy to rank. Which most blog owners ignore.
It is must to do thorough research on keyword before going for a post or a topic.

You need to check various thing even your keywords are longtail. According to your longtail keyword just check top competitors and their DA, backlinks,Quality of their articles. It takes time, but worth it.

Long tail keywords Are some of your best converting keywords and are critical for any brand. It's normal for a long tail keyword to have 10 to 100 searches per month. You can easily snag a couple of long tail keywords from Google's suggested search terms.

Depends really.
Do you want a keyword with 100 searches with 100% buyer / commercial intent or 1000 searches a month for a long tail which will attract a lot of tyre kickers?

they should be low competition but high valued(nearly 99%) . Volume doesn't matter in my opinion.

Much depends on your niche and competitors. You should see how many articles they are releasing. I recommend publishing as many articles or more. Don't forget about the uniqueness of the content.
