Videos with a good hook work the best conversion wise.
 
vertical videos do well on FB these days. Best if you can post them on reels, and cross post them on threads and facebook
 
In my experience, Reels and humorous content tend to perform very well.
 
short-form video tends to get the most reach overall, but the best format really depends on your audience and niche. i have a small project page where I can screenshot the video and repost it as an image, surprisingly i get more views/reacts from the image post

short video and funny post, i find it better
 
Right now short videos and native reels perform best on Facebook, images still do ok, but link posts usually get the lowest reach.

facebook is an old social media it is nor youtube or instagram for video content nor twitter for text content but it has all the features together beside what exactly is the most engaging, todays social media has a good rewarding system for short videos

From what I see, short videos and Reels perform best on Facebook now
 
In 2026 short native videos and reels are performing the best by far on fb. Images and carousels still do decent, but plain text and external links get almost no reach anymore
 
Images still perform well, especially simple, relatable, or emotional visuals. but they usually need strong captions to compete with video reach.
