Guys, look.

I have ad account in competitive market. I have always average ~20 clicks per hour. The daily budget is let's say in dollars: 50-60$.

And sometimes (today at 9am too) I see something like this:

Yes. You see it right.

I've got 2000 clicks in 1 hour (it's definitely not possible, I have 25%+ CTR's today wtf)

And it spent fckn 250$ in one hour. And it happened third time in this month.

I created similar project in this market in the same country. I run an Ads. I looked into campaign from other Ad account and I see...

200% budget used in one hour. Same day, same hour, same keywords.

What can I do? What does it mean?
Now, when I saw it on 2nd account, I am almost sure it's bot attack.

Horrible.

Anyone experienced it?

What market you in? Who would have interest in bot attack? Competitors?

Try clickcease or clickguard perhaps? I haven't used it yet as I bet on low competition keywords only... so not much fraud there. I might use it one day anyway though.

It'd be curious to see your comparison before/after you use them.

BTW. One thing is sure, google itself won't do shit to protect you against ppc fraud. Their algorithms seem to be just cosmetic. So that they can say they use click fraud protection systems.

I didn't used it yet, but hey, what the F, one of the biggest platform allows fake clicks. And you need to keep safe from those fake clicks on your own. Dissaster.

Let's say it's health market, e-commerce. Competitors I think.

When I did Google Ads last time (several years ago), Google eventually recognized bot clicks, and always credited the money back to my balance at the end of the month.

I hope you will get the same outcome :)

A few good words. I hope so :)

Sorry to burst the bubble, but that is wishful thinking. You will always have better results with ppc fraud protection system like those mentioned above.

They will discredit some clicks, but they will allow many that are obvious. There have been many studies on this if you search around. And the more competitive your market is, the higher the probability of click fraud.

Also if Google did a good job at preventing that, then we wouldn't have so many services like clickcease.com and they would not have many clients. However, quite the opposite is true.

Personally, I have never seen anything good coming out of refund claims from Google. I don't know about the other click fraud prevention services (they might be just as good) but I use ClickCease and they do save me a lot of money
