In the past few weeks I have created a successful Youtube channel by uploading fetish (censored ofc) comic videos. All these comics are freely available on the internet, and I always give credit to the artists.
So now I am trying to figure out how to monetize the channel and I would appreciate your insight!
I have a very huge collection of these fetish comics so I want to create a website where I can upload them, so that people can visit my page if they want to .. you know
I have a few ideas how to turn this into money, but I am not really sure how to proceed.
1st Idea:
Upload free content to the website and create a membership option for premium content (usually comics from an artists Patreon). Since I don’t want to get sued, I would contact the artist and buy/license their premium art.
This sounds pricey and I am not sure if they would even think about it since a few of these artists get thousands of dollars from Patreon and I’m obviously not going to pay even half of that. But this option seems to be ethical.
2nd Idea:
Upload free comics and sell premium comics separately. This one is easy, I get x% and the artist gets x%.
My problem with this is that I don’t think that a one time 15$ for one product is more tempting than a 5$/month for several premium comics on Patreon. Also, I don’t see artists creating content “outside” Patreon nowadays + this would not be a steady income for me.
3rd Idea:
Upload all the free comics, but the whole website would be subscription based. These comics can be found all over the internet, but here almost all of it would be on one website (which means they would not have to look for x content on Deviantart and y content on e-hentai for example). People would basically pay for the database, the easily accessible content. Obviously I would charge less then with idea number 1.
The problem with this is that I would make money with other artists content, so it is not really legal.. Of course I would use part of the money to support artists and to create exclusive content (so that I can raise prices too).
What do you think I should do? I really don’t know how to move forwars, so I would appreciate every little help!
