What Should a Beginner Focus on First to Make Their First $100 Online?

Hey everyone,

I am completely new to making money online and trying to understand the best way to start without getting overwhelmed.

There are so many methods like freelancing, affiliate marketing, blogging, social media, etc., and honestly it is a bit confusing where to begin.

Right now, my goal is simple, just to make my first $100 online and learn the process.

For those who have already started:
What worked for you in the beginning?
Did you focus on one method or try multiple things?

Also, how long did it take you to make your first earnings?

When you're starting from scratch, don't run behind 'methods' or else you'll be running in circles. Identify one things, for example blogging with revenue model based on affiliate marketing. Now read up on this, watch YT videos, tons of free info out there. Start working on it parallelly, you'll learn more while actually working on it.
If it stills feels overwhelming, I suggest you to get an internship or a job in a digital marketing agency to learn how things work.
 
If you don't have a specific skillset, first decide on what you would like to learn and spend time with.
as you said there are multiple ways to earn online but don't try to experiment with many, that will eventually bring nothing.

Try to focus on one thing at first, and learn a lot about it.
Also you mentioned you goal is to make $100 online, do you want to make that amount monthly like a side-hustle?
or this is just the first goal and then scale it to something bigger?

Cause if it is just about the $100 then i think it doesnt worth the effort and time to learn a new skill just to make that amount.
The potential is big in most online services so you should try to find a skill that is scalable to a great extent and don't settle just on that amount.

But for someone new even $100 is a good start, good luck mate!
 
pay $10 or $20 to rent a smm panel and then repackage yours to be "original provider" something like that

cold outreach local small businesses / individuals who want to boost their socials statistics and sell them your repackaged services
 
For that first $100, just pick one thing like freelance writing or virtual assistant work on a platform like fiverr or upwork and just dive in. Don't try to learn everything at once, stick to one skill you're kinda good at, and you'll probably hit that goal way faster than you think
 
You need to learn about a specific field first, either through self-study or by finding a job at a company. Make sure you understand the situation before making a decision.
 
I earned my first online money by growing IG stats and then selling them back in 2020.

If you grow a stat with USA audience, high usa % audience, you can sell it very well in the market, you need consistency though and always analyze your content and test what is working better in your niche.
 
Start with what you're really good at, invest your time in it, and set goals. For example, if you're good at video editing and image editing, you could build a YouTube or TikTok channel for affiliate marketing...

pick something not chase everything.
 
Pick one thing and stick with it for at least 3 months. Most beginners fail because they switch methods every two weeks when results don't come immediately.
For a first $100 the fastest path is usually freelancing on Fiverr or Upwork, writing, data entry, basic graphic design, whatever skill you already have. Not glamorous but you learn how online transactions work and build confidence.
Affiliate marketing and blogging work but take much longer, realistically 6 to 12 months before you see anything meaningful.
How much time per day can you dedicate to this?
 
selling a service is almost always the fastest path to $100. i started with content writing, charged low, delivered fast, got reviews. once you have a few testimonials the rates go up naturally.

the trap most beginners fall into is trying to build "passive income" first. that stuff takes months. if your goal is just the first $100, treat it like a mini-job, not a business. find one thing you can do for someone today and charge for it.
 
Since you are new to online money making .
Don't try to think it as a short term work "$100 online"
Think it as a long term thing which you can be able to scale later if you have made $100 .

First identify your interests and skills , because you need to learn along with way as you mentioned you are a beginner so choose something which you enjoy doing , so that you can be motivated and your learning experience will be interesting .

Definitely stick to just one method, like offering simple services on Fiverr or Upwork, so you don't spread yourself too thin. I hit my first $100 in about a week just by focusing on one freelance gig
