    Hello everyone,

I'm looking to purchase some SEO software. I know SEO has changed a lot in the last couple years. So should I invest in say scrapebox? Also what is best for keyword research? Is there a software that I can research competitors with? I just need a little guidance. There are probably some other newbies that could use the help too. I am trying to rank an authority site and website with very little competition. Thanks!

Everyone will have a different set up, but I like:

    Ahrefs - Competitions backlinks
GSA - All my link building needs, even tier one if you learn how to use the program well
Scrapebox - Makes GSA more effective and good for comment spamming
FCS - Web 2.0 tool which GSA is not great at making and good for tier one and 2.0 management

You can do pretty much everything with the above resources. Throw in some KW tracking which some providers and services do for free, and you are good to go.

Here he we go for another thread of SEO.

People fail to realize that what works for others is diferente for what works for you. One tool can be useful for person A, but for person B it is totally useless.
Also, everything you just named on your post can be done for FREE without any tool.
    Keyword research - Keyword planner
Competition research - This can be done for free just by looking at the metrics of said site.Use chrome/firefox extensionand they will even appear for you once you enter their site.

Now just so you don't get me wrong I'm not saying you shouldn't own SEO tools, as they can be powerful, all i'm trying to say is that for most people FREE services will do just as good as paid ones.

For building an Authority Site some tools really needed, almost mandatory. Link Analyzer(moz, ahref, majestic), Keyword Research Tool, Rank Tracker. ScrapeBox, GSA for tire 2,3 link building.

Ahrefs is a must have. I personally use SEMRush quite a bit, although more suitable for client work & not starting new sites.

Keep in mind that there are some great SEO tools out there!

Here's a small list of the things I use on a daily basis.

Scrapebox - This takes a 72 hour task and does it in 30 minutes. Fucking Love me some Scrapebox.
TheBestSpinner - Use it occasionally - but going on the list because it's very helpful.
AHREFS - I don't even need to say why ^.^

Or this tutorial which is great. :)
Been working on that since last week to mix with my PBN.

    As for software I'd say....

    1) GSA + CB (as already said)
    2) Scrapebox.
    3) Keyword bot! This is commonly left out but a custom keyword bot can be the most valuable tool in your arsenal. Popular keyword bots don't really teach you how to think outside the box. But if you learn to a unique keyword technique for finding great keywords. You can automate it to your needs and it'll pay off in spades.
    4) Indexification.
    5) VPS.
    6) Serpbook / Serpfox
    7) Microsoft Excel. I was taught to use this in college for statistics calculations & data engineering. Any marketers who don't know excel, learn it.
    8) Photoshop. Took like 3 years to grasp but once you do you'll never outsource designs again.
    9) Power Director. For video creation I love it. Adobe After Effects is too damn complicated.

    10) FL Studio rewired w/Reason. 14 years now. I don't expect marketers to be musicians. But I'm still shocked by how many marketers don't GAF about sound. They don't care about their voiceovers. Don't care about mastering anything. Don't care what can be done with soundbytes, pitch correction, overdrive, noise gates, NLP anchors. Maybe I'm weird in regards to video, but I've always "seen sound" as the dominant force. Just try watching porn without sound. Why do you think pornstars are taught to make dirty noises? Slurping sounds? Would you rather see a quiet 10 BJ or a slurpy 8? Ever notice that all the best movies in the world typically have great soundtracks? Not just great soundtracks but great voices and fx that are used the right way? We have databases full of research about the effects of sound on emotion. When I hear an ad on the radio with a phone ringing at -38 DBs, a sound an untrained ear will not recognize, I know that mfkr is trying to trick me. I know why that sound wasn't meant to be "heard". I know why it's repeated 3 times in the commercial. When I hear a specific word or phrase being flanged, stretched or detuned over and over... I know it's a buy pattern. I know what that person's trying to do.

Anyway, that's the software I use.
