My oh my, what a loaded question.

Host OS on computer is Windows 8.1 using classic shell. From there it depends:
Kali Linux (Debian)
Metasploitable (Linux)
Slackware 10
Cent OS
Hackintosh

Windows 10 Enterprise
Windows 8.1
Windows 8
Windows 7
Windows XP

Need to put in a FreeBSD VM.

im working to install hackintosh in my laptop,
for you did hackintosh worked without issues , in drivers and updates

thanks

Win 7 on my regular computer and win 10 on my laptop because it was included, I prefer win 7

I did use Windows 10 but hated it! Never again.

Same here, I regret ever installing windows 10 on my laptop. Nothing but trouble.

I thought it was my laptop with the issues, particularly mouse/keyboard problems but I ran Ubuntu from USB yesterday and had no problems whatsoever!!

Windows 10 is going well for me for lmost one year now.

Is windows 7 still fine? Will I have to eventually upgrade to 10 for programs?

It's the other way around, Win 10 have problems with programs that are working on Win 7. I'm running Win 7 and will upgrade to 10 whenver it becomes as good and stable as Win 7 is at the moment.

There is no better OS than Win 7 at the moment.

Windows 7. Never tried 10, and from what I can see here reading comments I won't xD

OS X is like a finely tuned distro that just works without the hassles, I would suggest looking into a Mac over a Linux box..

windows 10 is perfect for me.

After remapping a few keys, it worked well both as a primary OS and as a VM.

Win 10 requires signed drivers. MS will become even more strict in the future according to the grapevine.

I'm using Win 10 but thinking about moving to Linux. What do you guys suggest, ubuntu or mint?
