Small improvements in traffic make me motivated.
What keeps you motivated when traffic improvement is slow?

Traffic growth is slow for almost everyone is SEO. What keeps me motivated is looking at small wins like better rankings, more impressions or improved engagement. If you're doing the right work consistently the results usually come with time. Patience is a big part of SEO.
For me, seeing even small ranking improvements is enough motivation. Every quality backlink and every piece of useful content is an investment that can compound over time.
it is for sure that slow traffic can be a major test of ones patience. what motivates me is the approach where each little progress becomes a signal that some progress is being made through one particular keyword climbing, some extra clicks or even the fact that a particular page got some impresions.

Check which pages are still improving when traffic is slow. Even a few pages moving up can show you what is working, so you can focus more on that.

Honestly what helped me was stopping looking at total traffic every day. Started tracking number of keywords on page 2 and 3 instead. Those move weeks before traffic does, so you can see something working while the graph still looks flat.
Also 10 months is not long. My first site did nothing for about 8 and then moved in a month. Not saying yours will, but slow is normal, not a sign you are doing it wrong.

Your only issue is that you do not have sufficient experience. If you had some experience, you would have more realistic expectations.
I has stopped assessing my achievements on the basis of traffics per day. watching the slow progress of some ranking positions, page views and impressions provides me with enough evidences of my accomplishments.
I no longer considered traffic to be the sole criiterion for measuring progress. At times it is the ranking, impression or even a couple of gud clicks that takes a step forward fst.

I try to focus on the smaller wins instead of expecting traffic to jump quickly Rankings impressions better CTR or one page moving up can show that things are working and those little improvements keep me motivated

It’s not really motivation, but maybe it can help. There are some websites, I don’t remember the names, that show what is becoming popular or trending.
You can watch what topics and types of content are starting to blow up and make your own content around them.

I try not to stress about the traffic too much. I just keep working on the site and check the progress every now and then. Makes the slow periods easier to deal with.

I could jsst say whether there is progress being makes each month. The traffic could remains constant for so long and yet a single update would makes all ur efforts bear fruit.
