What is the correct term for this section?

Hello,

Just wondering one thing and I hope someone can help with my dilema, basically I wanted to know when you create a company website and your company develops wp plugins and since this wp plugin is develop onhouse and you put this plugin on your website for people to download it. So, my question is how would you call this section of your website where people download your inhouse wp plugin from your company, would it be "download", "resources", "software", "plugins" or what is the correct term for this section on your website?

Thanks! I know is an odd question but, is been eating my brain for a while now and wanted a second opinion.

Well it'll be plugins, resources would refer to other websites, download could be software. I also think some are weary of the word download

Yes, I am struggling with the same but for now only "download" makes sense to my but, I am not 100% if is the correct term
 
I would refer them as Plugins. :) Glad you wrote about it. Everybody looks for a solution even we find a answer by ourselves.
I believe that's the use of the forum.
 
When I search for a plugin for one of my WP sites, I ALWAYS put in the word plugin as part of the search.

I think you'll have a better shot at ranking that plugin page in G if you use that term.

Ok but, let's say that your company not only develops plugins but, it also develops let's say for example "themes" so, how would we call this section for your company downloads or what?

You did not get it bro, I mean if company offers more than one thing like "themes, plugins, extensions or whatever" a section that offers all this that is develop onhouse is this section called "downloads" or "developers" or what? because "themes" is only if this section only offers one type of things.

offcourse if you are plugin developing it will come under plugins and not the theme

Yeh, you're right I don't get what you mean, plugins and themes go in their respective categories

Yes that I get bro, what I am asking is what is the correct name for the "main category" not subcategories like "themes" or "plugins"
 
I would use "products" as you are developing various modules, themes, plugins and extensions which are species that fit into the genus of "products"
 
Yeah, I am between those 3 Products, Downloads and Resources!! Which is the correct term?
 
I guess the right term to be used in the main category is "Products", the themes,plugins, or whatever will come to subcategories.
