What is the best cheap hosting provider that you use?

I saw a few shared hosting sites on here in the hosting section, but don't know if they're legit or not. What do you guys think?? In your opinion, what's the best hosting to use thats' cheap? I'm not anticipating a lot of traffic at all, just something to start my site with.

If you don't anticipate to have lot of traffic (below 500 a day) I would go with shared hosting for now. BUT, don't use any kind of shared hosting, there are few guys here who offer pretty nice hosting for cheap...just read the reviews and don't overthink it/ overanalyze it.

Do you know of any specific ones I should look at?
 
i'm using Hostsailor for my 1 adult site and 3 normal sites. And DMZHOST.co for 1 more adult site. Hostsailor start at $0.80 p/m and it's perfect so far.

I am using Hostgator. It's good for my business.
 
For shared hosting, Namecheap. They were having a $10/year for 1st year promotion not too long ago. Don't know if it's still going on but if the promotion is no longer running, regular price is around $35/year. For a VPS, Linode wins in terms of performance. Vultr is a little easier to use.
 
Got 12 months free of Google cloud hosting.
AWS has a free tier or you can extend it with an edu email.
Also got free hosting on Google App Engine.
 
I'm also using the Namecheap 10$ deal for couple of projects and quite happy with that.
 
I have personally used Godaddy for a number of different projects. A quick search in google for Godaddy promo code will bring up an 85% off coupon. I won't mention the site specifically because I don't want to get flagged for posting a url, but it's easy to find. I have used that to get a domain name and hosting for a year for under $20. The additional items such as https costs a little, as well as others that will add up, but the 85% keeps the domain and hosting down significantly.
 
All new hosting providers are cheap in price. The main thing that you need to look is the customer support. Try to contact them if they have 24*7 chat option If they are responding quickly put that provider on your list and compare all those.
 
I'm using DigitalOcean along with Vultr, starting from $5 Droplet for months and I've expanded, spending ~ $500 / month for cloud VPS. Both are good at p/p :)
