For those who have closely watched previous Pandas, is there any ground to hope for a quick bounce back?

Well if what Pilot-Talk posted above is what most people are seeing with thin and no content sites ranking then there should be hope that our sites come back up and those sites disappear again. It would be a disaster if Google kept these kind of SERPs active for too long since it would injustice to many of us that have built solid sites with unique content and backlinks.

I need more Panda recipes... I've been grilling Panda, smoking Panda, frying Panda and baking Panda and love it to death.

Panda Butter and Jelly on white... very popular among the younger crowd.
lol.... Market samurai's rank tracker has been messed up for the past day or two. I haven't been able to accurately check rank changes since the 12th. But traffic stats look ok and that's all that I care about.
Manual updates for some of my main sites show that not much has changed.
But then again, when the first panda update hit... I got slapped around pretty hard. Since then, I have reworked a few things and have grown faster, stronger, and better.

Hey BTB, I'll pick up some Panda Jerky ... let me know when you've got a solution =P
I got hit this morning, 80% traffic down on all secondary keywords ranking on inner pages. EMD is still #1, but inner pages targeting dozens of related keywords that were on page 1 are now mostly between page 3 to 6.
My first reaction is "what did I do wrong, should I stop", but I think the important thing is to continue doing what you do, adding quality content and continue link building. And, now is the time to create a website that doesn't rely on SERP for traffic. Frustrating isn't it?

Sure didn't really explain that clearly,my thinking is affilliate links and adsense links ,monetisation basically.
Your dentist site is doing great,no monetisation link,your other site has adsense(monetised obls from adsense) gets hit,probably both getting the same bh treatment.
In the bigger picture this could force the actual companies people affilliate for to up their adsense campaigns(big names like amazon,ebay)
It's just a theory but I use the same tools,scrapebox,senukex etc etc not one site has dropped and they all respond well to these tools,no monetisation on any sites.

I have an aged domain 8+ years that is basically my personal "Soap-Box" so it's full of unique content, I have done standard SEO and LOTS of ScrapeBox, ScrapeBoard for at least 2 years now.
I used Traffic Travis, which just got an update and works really nice btw, and it would seem that the majority of my internal pages/articles have all gone up a few points. No dramatic changes but most of them for the better.
I do run spell check and I try to stick "roughly" to word density of around 2%-5% and I use propper headings etc.
I don't know what this means in the grander Panda scheme of things but so far it's been pretty decent to me. Nothing dropped like a rock anywhere on the entire website so yeah, I don't know what to tell you guys.
Backlinks still get new articles indexed super fast and I think my Twitter posting (from the blog) has certainly helped quite a bit but it's the ScrapeBox blasts that really do the trick most likely. I create backlinks on everything that has a PR1 or higher ranking.
Sometimes I'll grab one of the numerous AA SB lists that get posted on here but not all that often.

One thing I noticed is that Panda is somehow after all websites with a certain Adsense ID. It might not be the same for everyone, but it was for me and others.
2 of my websites been hit on 28 September. One survived the second Panda 2.6 update, but the second one was hit and lost all its traffic on 11 October. No, it's not temporary, Panda is after internet marketers in a way or another. Panda is after websites that don't have social likes and comments.
People don't understand that unique content with perfect spelling is not the solution to the users most of the time. Most of the time when I search something in Google I find pages that have good content, but they don't answer my question because they are made for search engines, not for humans.
You have to ask yourself: is my website made for search engines or humans? I my website a small or huge content farm with the only goal of cheating the search engine and making some money, more or less? I have to admit, my second website that was hit on 28 September and 11 October was made for search engines and monetized with Adsense. It was not made for humans. It looked good, good spelling, but all with fluff content, nothing more.
Now, what's quality? Quality is content written for the user. If your site is a collection of content for search engines, even if your content is 10k words, your content is not quality, it's thin. Making your website more user friendly won't help. You need to make your website for your users, because they are PAYING YOU, not Google, but your users. If you give your users content made for search engines, they won't pay you anymore, and that's Panda about, about your users.
SOCIAL MATTERS - websites with comments and Facebook likes and Tweets rank. Facebook pages rank - because they are the most social. Blogspot and Youtube rank because they are Social networks. EMD rank because of BRAND term.
LINKS - don't matter. You can have a bad website without links and can have the same bad website with links. No difference.
Content freshness - is not important as long you don't add good content. Engaging content.
If Google puts bad websites and EMD to test their traffic, if it puts them in the first place it knows they have bad traffic, right?
