I wanted to give an update on the status of Executive VIP.
As everyone on the forum is aware, Executive VIP has been inactive for even as long as I've been a member here, excluding a brief boost in activity around 2015. In fact, the usergroup has dwindled to just 4 members: 2 regular members and 2 staff members.
Executive VIP unfortunately suffered from the same issues that Jr. Executive VIP suffered from before the re-work: indecision on what a person an Executive VIP, a lack of nominations, and inactivity for months and even years at a time; which led to many of its former members being demoted. This is not a slight at the former members who made Executive VIP what it used to be before I joined the forum as many just moved on from the forum, but rather a statement on its current state.
Given how well the Jr. Executive VIP usergroup has been going ever since it was reworked in 2020, we've re-worked the process of Executive VIP nominations to be criteria-based, just like Jr. Executive VIP. The criteria is, in many ways, similar to the one we developed for Jr. Executive VIP, albeit much more stringent.
With that said, we've just sent out invites for the new Executive VIP, so you'll start seeing new Executive VIPs on the forum starting today.
