What is best for blogging WordPress or Blogger ?

use blogger only if u want hobby/light blog. for growth + monetization, wordpress self-hosted is standard. u own it, scale it, customize deep. long-term safer bet.

WordPress by a long shot way more flexible with themes, plugins, SEO tools. Blogger is simpler and free, but you’ll hit limits fast if you want to scale or monetize.
 
Go with WordPress. It’s easier to grow, has more features, and looks more professional than Blogger. Perfect for long-term blogging.

WordPress is better for long-term growth, flexibility, and SEO. Blogger is simpler but very limited. Go with WordPress if you’re serious about blogging.
 
Go with WordPress it’s way more flexible, better for SEO, and easier to scale when your blog grows.

WordPress is better if you want more control, flexibility, and growth in the long run. Blogger is simpler but very limited. If you’re serious about blogging, go with WordPress.

Who actually visits wordpress blogs? Wheres the traffic coming from? also why are people still using wordpress in 2025? Genuine questions, I have no idea.

Choose tumblr. A wordpress blog by a noob will just lay at the bottom of the internet for years, and never go anywhere. You may as well well start one after your dead, lol thats how good they are. I recommned you join tumblr. The internet is based on content and sharing, so if you join tumblr, you'll see a quicker response from likes and comments and sharing since tumblr already has millions of users. Your wp blog on google? 2 visits if your lucky a month when you start lol

TLDR
Crappy Self hosted WP blogs are dead thanks to chatbots. Join existing blog communities.
 
For scalable blogging, Wordpress is surely much better. Wordpress is very customizable with lots and lots of themes and plugins. It also supports lots of monetization methods.
 
Blogger was an excellent platform, perhaps until around 2010. Today, competing with WordPress feels like an uphill battle.

Start with WordPress — it’s easier to scale, customize, and rank better. Blogger’s fine for practice, but WordPress wins long-term every time.
