What hosting would you recommend for an mainly image/video website?

Heya BHW!

I am about to create a new website ala 9gag style with a twist on it which im pretty sure will be profitable with some investment.
My question is which host should i use when i will soon have a lot of images or videos embedded etc.
Do you have any recommendations or warnings for some of the hosts that you would care to share?

A lot of embedded images? So people won't have the option of uploading images onto your website? In that case, any small VPS will do. Just make sure to choose one that you can scale later once your website starts growing.

Im not sure if images are embedded or uploaded, i just know videos are. How would someone scale? By upgrading their package?

Yes, exactly. It means that the server on which you have the VPS already has the necessary hardware for upgrading clients. You can upgrade without migrating to another server because it's already there.
