What hosting do you uses? is godaddy worth it?

For SEO purposes, does it matter where your website is being hosted?
Nowadays the location doesn't matter, especially if you are using CDNs (And ya.. Google doesn't care any more). What does matter is the hardware performance , uptime and bandwidth speeds of the provider.
Now, since I represent a hosting company would not be acceptable to comment any hosting provider (Unless EIG is involved
)
What I can say is that in my opinion and considering the prices of our offers and other European providers .. yes you are paying a #premium for five (basic) websites.
For around 19CAD/mo you can get VDS with 2GB RAM 1 CPU and enough storage from European provider, and if you want to speedup the loading from Canada or USA .. will cost you 3-6CAD/mo extra for premium CDN (KeyCDN, BunnyCDN). If you need a Web Panel (cPanel) then again you have plenty of free options like Webuzo (recommended and easy to install).
And Shared cPanel Hosting for the same amount (or less) for 6 - 10 websites (addon domains).

Im brand new to them but hosthawk seems pretty awesome ... they are 3.75 per month for shared hosting and everything is on a ssd with lightspeed servers

I use namecheap too.
Anwyay if you put cloudflare in front your host doesn't matter much. The time to access now depends on cloudflare, assuming your host is ok.

i have used namecheap VPS however I am in process of moving everything to google cloud platform. the google cloud platform allows for easier scaling when the traffic gets heavy. instead of having to upgrade to whole new machine you can simply deploy more ram and another cpu

$40 CAD seems VERY VERY high. I use Hostgator, unlimited websites hosted, can handle tons of traffic, Good amount of storage. Like $16.50 CAD a month. Lots of addons and upgrades available. Of course you will find many people say dont use Hostgator, don't use GoDaddy, use this other service! But for me, never have problems with Hostgator in many years and price is very affordable.

I have used many different hosts and for the most part they are all about they same. I would stay away from any dollar hosts as they typically pile a ton of sites on the same server and can really get slow at times. Be careful of introductory offer, they may be cheap for the first year then jump afterwards. Chose a host that offers free SSL.

Guess godaddy users should do their feedback form , claim speed is not good, and pricy.
Maybe they will rethink their plan. I find them is pushy for those extra features next can resources suddenly reach limit.
I used to host at siteground , and yes i have to say their service and speed is better than godaddy. Too bad mine currently host a Godaddy due to the site builder they choose

Been using GoDaddy, never had a problem at all in almost 6 years. Some said Namecheap works well on them.

I run my own dedicated/budget webserver operating on whm/cpanel - this setup allows hosting an unlimited number of domains on that single web server. But apparently, cpanel has gone greedy just recently - they massively hiked their fees to unjustifiable levels - having your own budget web server now seems to be not cost effective anymore.

Godaddy is preferable cause its a big name. No it doesn't matter what you hosting is unless Your hosting is shtty and half the time your website is down.
