My domains registered with Namecheap get frequently suspended due to abuse complaints.

Any complaint resistant alternatives?

What are you doing with the domains?

Any complaint resistant alternatives?
All domain registrars have an option for accepting complaints. So, there are no "complaint resistant" domain registrars.
How various domain registrars handle certain complaints, may differ, but that is another story.

Thanks!

I'm asking for domains registrars that are less resistant to complaints, i.e. one would have to file a court order to suspend its domains, not just a complaint email.

No. every domain registrar which is icann-accredited or is domain-reseller has to take complaints. The important part is how and when they actually act on it? or do they pass the abuse complaint to the registrant of the domain and sit quietly? Or do they take action and suspend domain within 24-48 hours? Well, big registrars like namecheap, namesilo, godaddy, porkbun, dynadot, directnic, gandi, hover, rebel will definitely take action. Even some BHW members complained that recently Internet.bs too started taking down domains quickly.

But there are few registrars out there who will do the following (only forward abuse complaints to domain registrant, DMCA ignored, delay in investigation, or just give warning, etc.) It's my personal experience and inputs gathered from fellow members.

  • Nicenic.net - they usually need registered copyright documents from those who file complaint, also they acknowledge the abuse complaint and forward it to customer. It's up to the customer to take action or not. DMCA ignored
  • Ourdomain - they also do the same. they are based in HK. DMCA ignored
  • The-Online.com - they forward abuse complaints to registrant and don't take further action. DMCA ignored. Based in EU.
  • Shinjiru / ilovewww - they are notorious of all. But usually act on court order from Malaysia.
  • Todaynic / Eranet - they are just DMCA ignored.
  • EasyDNS - from canada. They don't tolerate SPAM complaints. Else they're good. DMCA not-ignored. They forward it to registrant and registrant has to act on it.
  • There are some Russian registrars too in the list like reg.com / ru-center etc. But they are not good if you host hate-speech, free-speech, LGBT friendly, anti-Putin content.
You can also find some other registrars in safe haven like Luxembourg, Netherlands, Swiss or Hong Kong. Avoid registrars from U.S, Canada, India, UK, France, Germany, Singapore. They are not abuse-friendly. like 99% of them.

+1 for Nicenic

Just want to update this list for 2025 - NiceNic and The-Online are the only ones that are still definitely open.

EasyDNS will BLOCK and SEIZE your domain in a heartbeat. OurDomain AND EraNet both told me verbatim they will BLOCK and SEIZE any domain with a complaint (see my attached screenshot for proof). Nothing in Hong Kong is safe anymore either, nothing in the US/Canada/1st World ever was, and most of Europe def isn't.

Good luck all! Screenshot 2025-11-02 at 7.27.02 PM.png

The BlackHatWorld thread titled “What domain registrars are, in your opinion, the least susceptible to abuse complaints?” discusses which domain registrars tend to react slowly or leniently to abuse or copyright complaints. Most users agree that any ICANN-accredited registrar is legally required to respond to abuse reports, but their level of enforcement varies widely. Larger registrars like Namecheap, NameSilo, GoDaddy, Porkbun, Gandi, and Hover were described as responsive and quick to suspend domains when complaints arise. On the other hand, a few names such as NiceNic, OurDomain, The-Online.com, Shinjiru, and iLoveWWW were mentioned as more tolerant or slow to act, with some users noting that they only take action upon receiving a court order. Several posters advised avoiding registrars based in countries like the United States, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, and Singapore, as they tend to comply rapidly with abuse requests. The general consensus is that there is no truly “abuse-proof” registrar—every legitimate one must process complaints—but some registrars are simply less aggressive or slower in enforcing them, making them slightly more resistant in practice.

All registrars must handle abuse reports, so there’s no truly complaint-proof option. The best approach is to keep your sites compliant, respond quickly to notices, and maintain accurate WHOIS info. Choose registrars known for fair support and transparent review processes rather than those claiming to ignore reports.

Lol are you an idiot? Clearly people are on BHW for a reason right?

I made a site reviewing UFC fights. Nothing wrong with that. But if you use a SHIT domain provider, they will basically seize your domain JUST for a NetTakeDown notice, no court order, no discussion, nothing. Clearly people here do NOT want a provider like that right?

Maybe you run businesses that you can just buy a BS namecheap domain and be fine. But for people who know what BHW is, and sometimes need a site in this realm, RUN FAR AWAY from Namecheap, BigRock, NJa.La, etc. Each of those will STEAL your domain in a second, no warning and no recourse.

Thanks, sorry I might have put this in the wrong place :-( I was just replying on it because in my Google search this specific thread came up (as well as another). I wanted to make sure no one else saw that old thread and still thought some of those providers would be good (like I did).

Just one note, iLoveWWW shut down a domain of mine too - but I think it was because it was related/similar to a chinese company. I think they're good for anything thats non-asian, but they might respond to takedowns if its similar to anything Chinese or Japanese. Some (two in mind) Russian ones are good too, but the language thing can be tough to navigate sites, and they will take down ANY content that is anit-Putin, LBGTQ, or anything thats not cool in Russian society.

Only ones I've seen, so far anyway as of October 2025 (and that can obv change), that are still definitely 'open', are NiceNic and The-Online. Those guys have been awesome so far (but only have 5-6 months on them). But yea, RUN FAR FAR FAR from any garbage like Porkbun, Namecheap, BigRock, GoDaddy, etc. Lol unless you want your domain frozen and seized within a day of going live.
