We know there are other digital marketing & SEO events out there, like PubCon, Search Marketing Expo, etc. What conferences do you like to attend or are interested in attending in the future?

I will try to attend UnGagged in the next few years. Sadly this year is in the middle of 2 conferences we organize & host.

I keep getting invited to seo gatherings / workshops out in Thailand, again it's finding suitable dates to get across there.

I'm thinking about attending ungagged London this year. But i am interested to know who else from here is going - because I'm guessing a lot of members are gonna wait for vegas instead...

I attend Mobile World Congress, Affiliate Summit East as well as Affiliate Summit West and I also attend Affiliate World Asia.
Looking forward to attending UnGagged in Vegas

Hello,

I 've just attended Ungagged in London. It was an outstanding conference. Great value ! :)

I usually attend IGB affiliate conferences in London, Amsterdam and Berlin.

Do you think it's worth to attend both conferences in Las Vegas on November : PubCon and Ungagged ? Or attending Ungagged is enough ?

Thank you,

James / Clicking Media

Hi James - I'm a bit biased as I'm part of the UnGagged team, but I've also attended Pubcon regularly over the last several years. It's a great con if you’re starting out or are looking for a refresher on the Google best-practice playbook. Sure their speakers are top notch, but it won’t be the same level of honest discussion on the industry outside of the usual Google grumblings. Party lines are well toed. I can see UnGagged working well as a follow up to Pubcon, it might help digest their material into more actionable strategies. But if you've attended UnGagged, and are also a member of this forum, you might find their content a bit formulaic by comparison.

With the Las Vegas chapter of UnGagged, sessions and topics are generally aimed at the North American market, plus the longer 3 day format provides a much broader scope as well. You'll have material a-plenty.

Long story short, to answer "Is UnGagged enough" - I'd say "Yes".

IGB because they have loads of free beer.

The July one? You're going to a conference in Amsterdam for free beer? Having to travel and listen to sober people say useful stuff seems a lot of effort for free beer.

Or... how about a conference where you can learn useful stuff from awesome speakers to make money which can be exchanged for many beers?

Oh, and we also have free beer.

Oh, and we also have http://www.ungagged.com/vegas/networking-events/.

Free beer tastes so much better than paid. I do not really go to listen to the conferences. I go to meet people, get better deals and get links.

I remember someone on here who had something to do with ungagged saying they would love our Charles to speak at ungagged. Unfortunately that says it all for me.

IGB is probably more your thing as you work in that area, but I've been to the last 3 UnGagged events and found them all useful from the perspective of someone who does a fair bit of affiliate marketing. I'd be surprised if you got nothing out of it. The content is a lot more "us" than generic boring SEO conferences such as Brighton SEO where they just push the same old content is king and spam is bad crap.

I can also confirm, they do also have free beer.

Going to Affiliate Summit this year. Will try to make it to Ungagged Vegas.

Haven't done Affiliate Summit myself, what's it like? I know there's a few members here that go to it regularly, what's the most useful thing about it?

Actually this is my first time at Affiliate Summit. It's on 30th July to 1st August - heard a lot of things about it. Will keep you posted. The most useful thing I would say is the amount of super affiliates/ top ad networks that attend it and getting even a few of them on board can be very profitable to business.
