What college classes should I take?

^^ When i say Im will end, I mean only the top will survive. with the changes to the internet that is about to haapen and alot fo other stuff suc h s copyright etc, Im will slow really down and be basically dead so to speak. That is what i predict . You notice less and less people are really making money, really most people on these forums or in Im are from foreign countries beause $400 a month and they basically are living good but to anybody in the USA that is crap money..

Also anyone with some smartness will try to attend school. Why not go to school if you have the smarts? You say if you vould be a lawyer or a doctorr you would do IM instead?

We are all slaves. We slave for cpa companies, publishers, we market other people products. We sit in front of a computer 29 hours a day, barely have a outside life, barely can keep a family or girlfriend (most), probably dont even know how to socialize properly since we been in front of a computer 29 hours a day.

Who do you think we are making rich, we are making cpa companies even richer, and publishers. We sit in front of our cpu's all day why cpa company owner is on a island partying it up, this is no different then working for somebody with a 9-5 job, only exception is we work from home.

If you have motivation go to college and get a degree, especially a business degree, cant go wrong with a biz degree. and to me nothing wrong with a 9-5 as long as your doing something you love and like, then it doesnt seem like work at all. Go to your 9-5 after you get your degree making 100k a year ,. come home do Im and make another 100k, have a plan, save up and after 7 years or so you can retire after you started a offline bizness and then you can leave the 9-5 and Im alone.

Trust me, IM is going to come to a halt soon, alot of changes are about to happen. There is going to be alot of law restrictions, scammers, cpa companies going under, internet restrictions, copyright bullstuff that its not even going to be worth it to do IM. I been talking with a few folks regarding this and we mostly all agree. get your offline bizness going. Good things come to a end

Yeah, advertising on the Internet only has another 3 years. OK.

If you've been around since July 2008 and you're still at a stage where you even need to consider a backup plan and degrees then I definitely agree that in your case a 9-5 job is your best bet.

I had a backup plan thats why im at where Im at now. Young rich and self contained and I'm touch my computer 3-5 hours day and still make 6 figures a year . i considered a backup plan when i first started IM. To me atleast it was a hustle at first, made my money saved up and ventured out. Im only trying to teach others.

Dont ever bypass school, if you get the right degree you can be powerful and you have the platform to do so.

I dont think neither of us want to do IM for life, were nothing but a number, user name on the internet, what makes you think we cant be cut off in a dime

lol, people who actually 'get it' have no reason to argue with you, they're out there continuing to 'get it' while you cry about how its impossible to 'get it'.

Learn how to hunt and skin animals, how to make your own clothes, how to purify water... etc.
Fugget about everything else long-term, because shtf.

That may be your story, but it's a million miles from mine.

I would MUCH rather run my own business than be a doctor or lawyer. HELL YES. Years and years and years of studying to become a doctor, then you work 80 hours a week, brutal 12 hour, sometimes more shifts in the middle of the night for peanuts for a few years until you eventually work up to $100-$150k/year. After 20-30 years if you're good enough you might make it as a consultant and have it a bit easier with more money.. Sounds great.

Law isn't much different. Not quite as hard but not far off it and at least there's more money if you're good. IF you're good.

Why do you think that promoting other companies products makes you a slave? I think you're confused about the meaning. If I have a boss that tells me what to do and when to do it, then I'm a slave. If I run my own company promoting other companies products then that's a completely different thing. You're LESS of a slave by promoting other products than your own since you have more freedom.

You're also kind of not getting it.. You keep talking about "IM" like it's some kids blackhat game. I'm talking about BUSINESS. *real* business. You keep talking about this "IM" thing like you're talking about some spotty teenager in his parents basement with an adsense blog making google rich. The people who run the CPA companies are in internet marketing. The people who own the products are in internet marketing. These ARE the "IM" people.

You're talking about kids trying to "make money at home fast" and I'm talking about online entrepreneurs.

You're also talking utter dribble about the sky falling too. I've heard this for years. People were talking about IM coming to an end back in 2008-2009 too. Heck the world's suppose to end this December too. I'm going to laugh my ass off at all the idiots who predicted that one too in January.

You cite crap like 'laws' and 'copyright'. So? There's new laws that are going to put an end to capitalism is there? I was in business long before I found affiliate marketing and I'll be in business long after it's gone if it ever goes, but it's a fairly fundamental business model. The only way it would die is if laws came out preventing companies allowing other companies from promoting their products(ridiculous notion).

How does copyright affect us? You're not seriously just ripping a bunch of content and putting it online and expecting to make money are you? Or maybe you're ripping a few youtube videos or some torrents. If this is the extent of your IM, then yeah, things are winding down in that department so definitely have your backup plan.

Cut off by whom? I really don't understand where you get your ideas from. How are we a 'number' or a 'username'? I'm a director of a limited company and no one has the power to cut me off except me. I'm the boss.

Well if you only make 6 figures a year how are you "young and rich" since when did 6 figures become "Rich" maaaan you don't even believe what you typing.

OP i would love to tell you, DUDE! you better go to school and get that great education and get a 100k year paying job and live the american dream i would loooove to tell you that, but I hope you respect the members in the forum who are keeping it honest with you. College is just not that deal anymore i wish it was I dropped out myself when i found out i made more then the professor.

I mean 1+1=2 right? I'll give it you like this.

If you really want to get a real education, go to Barnes and Nobles and read a book, if you want to get a college degree in business management go to your local book store and check out a book on business management, don't let a piece of paper on the wall in a fancy picture frame make u think for one moment that's success. The only people successful at the end of the day is the bank you took the loan out from.

The first book i ever got from Barnes & Nobles was this

http://multiplestreamsofincome.com/web/

BTW I'm not affiliated with the author in no way shape form of fashion but I got a college degree from reading this book

Most people in this thread are lying as well living in a fantasy world and are very jealous of Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, MIT etc. graduates.

If you manage your money and time well. You can do a "9-5" to launch your business by building up funds with a stable income source ass well as extra money from IM when its a hobby. The notion of not having time with a 9-5 is complete nonsense people are telling you. Most people I know that have a 9-5 job have enough time to start making money on the side. Yet choose to spend it watching tv and playing on Facebook.

As for college debt, it can be reduced greatly or even eliminated by taking AP exams as well as going to a community college first. This will also allow you to save up for the next 2 years to go finish your bachelors degree.

Some of you people in this thread sound like lunatics, wanting to pass up a $100,000/year job because it will make you a "slave". With that kind of money, you could easily save up alot of money from the job,as well as learning IM on the side to launch a massive blitz for a business project.

I ain't gonna follow no rules of grammar the man is telling, this be english they be no official law on what is da correct spelling or tha correct gramma.

Some countries such as Hungary have an official grammar book and agency that makes the grammar rules for their language. But in the United States there is no such agency or book.

It's called US-English and it's a derivative of British-English. It most certainly does have a lot of grammatical rules.

Let me know how your application to Harvard goes. Be sure to let them know that English has no "law" on grammar.

I know when to use formal English and when to not give a f*ck.

I reached a specific asset level.

I can adequately support my family.

I can pursue my interest or passion

When I dont scam my friends over $300

And lastly GG when your worried about how much funds I have or how rich I'm not is when i know I made it instead of faking it

Op dont listen to what people tell you saying not to go to college. Internet Marketing is not going to be around much longer. I give it another 3 years or so.. College is always important and a good backup. Take Business admin classes or software programming. Always stay in school. ruke #1 always have a backup.

Take your Im money you make now and invest in a offline business or some other venture that is long term money and you wont have to be stressing out online 28 hours a day over campaigns, scammers cheaters and such.

But from some top sources and my own intelligence, Internet marketing is not going to be around much longer or easy to make money with in the future. keep a backup.

I got 2 degrees and going to school now for my law degree and still do Im on the side and own a offline biz. i like Im so I try to stick to it, kind of a hobby.

Ask yourself when internet marketing is all said and done with, whats your backup?

and its not nothing wrong with working a 9-5, as long as you doing something you enjoy and not some bullshit factory job

rofl. 3 years? buddy, the internet is not going anywhere, and as long as theres an internet, people are going to want to advertise their perfume, baby food, bicycles, anything you can imagine, on it.

You guys are retarded. IM is not supposed to be a substitute for University. Both teach you valuable stuff, you can never acquire the same information at both places.
If you're looking to become a general marketer (not only internet) and earn big money, I don't think companies will just hire in randoms. They hardly employ someone with all qualifications in his CV, let alone a paperless person.

Also IM is very risky, unstable and a bit shady, although the rewards could be great at times but your business is almost always reliable on others (Google, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Craigslist etc.), those are the greatest sites and I heard FB is soon going to charge businesses for status updates.
Unless you're sitting on a fat budget to drop on PPC which is unlikely.

Another thing is that IM can take up most of your social life, university is a great place to meet and collaborate with people. Those guys in your class could become your potential partners, that you know and interact with, you know who you're dealing with, without the worry of being cheated by faceless randoms on the internet.

If I had to work that much, I'd find another job. Apparently it's time for you to get out of the IM game if you have to work so hard that you can't keep your family. I make as much as a doctor working less than 20 hours a week in IM.

I went to school for computer engineering and I can honestly say that it hasn't helped me at all with IM. I'd suggest going to school for marketing if you really want a degree that may help with IM.
