Hey all, just wondering what kind of things you have in place before you go walking on the interwebs. Like Proxies or spoofers or ip maskers. I googled "where am I" and it came up with a map of pretty much exactly where I am.
    I don't want this, obviously.
Any thoughts that aren't involving proxy connections from some country across the world?
    Thanks for reading

On a serious note, use a VPN service.

Well, if I'm at my desktop PC or my laptop, those websites only find my ISP's location, which is fine by me. On the other hand, while using my mobile, my location is pretty much pinpointed to +- a few feet. But yeah, if you want more privacy, or you need to be somewhere else, a VPN is your best bet.

Thanks folks, I'll look into a vpn, but I bet they're expensive. It's creepy how much the net can find about you (me). Don't want the fucking cops at my door, ya know?

I use a VPN also because it secures my connection against wireless sniffing. You can 't be too careful these days. It slows my surfing speed only a slight amount.
