Agreed I like the hotsauce addon plugin ( good firewall btw)
I go through the list then go to festingers site to see if he has a working copy lol

Take a closer look at FluentAuth too, very nice free plugin.

Adding to what others have mentioned, 'Redirection' is an important 'must have' plugin for any Wordpress site.

My "MUST-HAVE" plugin that I use for every WordPress website is "WordFence".
It is a security/Malware removal Plugin that is I take absolutely seriously because of how good it is

Pretty Links is also a good option for affiliate websites.
