Hi,
i scraped lately some good expired domains .. and i'm with a kinda tight budget i was wondering if i can instead of hosting my own PBN (Costy ££ - if separate hosting for each one ...) using blogger or wordpress and link it with the expired domains ... and for sure writing some unique content .. this way i don't have to pay for hosting and i can take advantage of the seo juice of the expired domains ..

Thanks <3

Yes you can.

I actually do that and it works :)

HOWEVER, make sure to diversify and not place all of the expired domains in the web 2.0. It'll be a HUGE FOOTPRINT if you have 20 expired domains linking to your money site and you use all on those free web 2.0 hosting.

Thanks for your answer .. what about only 10 web 2.0 .. and diversifying .. wix,wordpress,blogger,tumblr ... ?
And for a PBN can i use only HTML template, without using wordpress or any other CMS .. because in some cheap hosting i don't have database u know ..

;)

If you are building out a PBN you absolutely can mix in some web2.0 hosts. This could actually be a good way to add a bit of variety and a way to reduce the costs of your PBN but I would not have them as a majority of your PBN.

Your PBN should be made up of a variety of different types of sites so you do not need to have PHP or a database on a lot of your sites. You can update sites that do not have MySQL support simply by changing the html files, you can have php files that have no dynamic content and are essentially static html files but with the .php extension.

Oh thank you, Thas what i was thinking but the On Page Seo is a bit complicated without the damn Yoast plugin .. any suggestion ? :D

Definitely a good idea. Do it with 10 and if you see some results then invest a little for the next 10 and put them on hosting. There is nothing like keeping thigns as diverse as possible with your PBNs.

Many people doing it same way, pbn and 2.0 blogs for mixing.
Thanks for you answers, but the hard part has always been doing the on page seo with only html template .. no wordpress and stuff ..

for keyword density etc compile your post in wordpress editor and copy paste html ( make sure to include only simple html tags and theme specific tags).

IMO, both worth the effort so Yes, you can mix them.

Good idea and most of us do the same. Actually i think its better rather than using cheap SEO hosting.

You can do this, but you need to make in unique and professional

Thank you guys for your answers but i'm wonderinf if the expired domaisn shoud be related to the money site and to the content i post in them ? it doesn't matter ?

Actually it depends on your SEO process. Relevancy is a prior one here. If your expired domain is niche relevant then its a huge plus point for your money site. And if its not then you need to use it technically. You can set your expired domain based on General topic. I prefer to set the expired domain based on its past history or back link TOPICAL TRUST FLOW. Also i set some domain based on newspaper style and get links creating relevant category. Actually there are many ways to do. If its relevant then no need to think a lot. If not just do your research and set it.

Thanks i figured out what you are talkng about but not the newspaper point ... if for example the expired domain used to talk about healthy food can you turn that to a newspaper and then talking about gaming ? or any other category ?

@redoxate no of course not. Then i will turn into it health and food based website. Actually sorry for my bad English. If the domain is more specific about healthy food you cant turn it into Gaming category anymore. Like an example i have a domain which includes information in the URL. And past history just information about local business owners. So i turned it into an informational site including several category. Actually it depends on many things. So check the past history and set it up based on it. That's the best practice i believe. You can check other expert opinions also. Whatever i am saying what i normally do for myself.

I really appreiate the sharing experience and the effort you put in .. all what i'm wondering now is how can i know if a keyword is difficult .. and check the competition in the serps ..

Keyword research is one of the hardest things in IM really. It's not something you will learn over night, but you will get some basic (and in this case sufficient) grasp on it. There are multiple threads here about KW research, but I like this one the most - http://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/su...ilding-step-by-step-blueprint-9-parts.825593/ It's as thorough as it can be, so definitely check it out.

Some point that I know to optimize your site's ON page SEO are:

Meta description tag:
Describe what your site is and how it may help to the visitors in the meta description tag.
Meta keyword tag:
Your primary keywords are listed under the meta keyword tag.
Image optimization:
The image must have the name that relates to the content topic. It helps to optimize the page as good.
Content optimization:
The content plays a major role in SEO. This is how because if the content length is maximum say 1000+ it helps to optimize the content easily. Google always like the maximum content.
Heading tag (H1 and H2):
This helps to get optimize the content and also easy to index the content naturally.
Avoid broken links:
Avoid the links that broken are affects the SEO. Also keep away from the link that has symbols like ^, &, etc.

Some other points that I left are appreciable. :)

Don't you need a paid plan with pretty much any of the web2.0 hosts in order to be able to host a custom domain or am I missing something?
