I am trying to figure out where the best place to add content is. So i have a page that promotes hair straighteners. The content title is "cheap hair straightener vs expnsive hairstraighthener"

SHould I have the content on the bottom of the page with the top showing hair straightener deals or should I have the content on a separate page on my blog post?

do a search on "best diet plan"

one of the top results is this

copy their logic

you can get a sense on what works by doing a bit research on what others have done. do a search on "best exercise shoes"; "best child car seat"; etc.

The answer is in your niche itself. Google your keywords, check the top websites. They rank for a reason.

@https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/andykhan.1271965/, try using Neil Patel's Ubersuggest. It's one of the free tools we use whenever we outline what we write for our clients. I find it useful because it shows competitors' pages that rank based on the keyword you've used to search.

More than SEO, you need to think about converting views into affiliate link clicks. Most affiliate sites place links at the top of content because some people prefer to click instead of read!

Just Google your keyword, check all the competitors, and get an idea from there. They are doing well because Google likes its structure and work. Just follow and work according to it.

Ok, Content.....
So, there's a few thing to be aware of when developing and placing content on the home page of a website.
The example I give to my students is to think of your entire website as a newspaper. (The rolled up paper thingy with words on it that your parent used to read to get information about the world around them...For all you millennials out there)
The top section of your website that is visible BEFORE you need to scroll down is often referred to as the "above the fold" section which is where the headlines in the newspaper are. This "Above the Fold" section is the most important piece of real estate on your entire site. You want to have Your most important statement here with as many "call to action" buttons and links as possible to help you convert visitors into leads and sales.

This is my VERY long winded way of saying that if your sales statement is important to the sale and key to your demographic targeting, It should absolutely be in the most prominent position of your site!!!

Thanks all really appreciate the advice. The issue I have is that I need to show the deal on the top part of the page. If I have a 1000 word article at the top then the chance of the visitor scrolling down to click on the affiliate deals become less. From your experience would you agree?
