Hi, Looking to practice ranking website, is it ok to build a free blog on wordpress, weebly, blogger etc. What did you folks do?

Thank you

Built a own .com domain and choose the keywords you want to rank. To begin you can use 2/3 words keyword and you can create content (1500/5000 words unique contents). Now you've to give quality backlinks to your pages/articoles/contents (you can get backlink packages in the BHW Marketplace).

First off you'll want to pick a competitive keyword like 'Midget Porn' or similar and then you can practice on THIS site that has been specially set up for people to work with.

Build as many links as you can with your chosen keyword and see if you can rank it.

Good luck!

Yeah you can practice with blogspot, blogger... etc. just find a non competitive keyword and try to rank that.

Practicing on free blogs is not a bad idea, but keep in mind that ranking a "web 2.0" site and a self-hosted domain can be somewhat different (because a brand new domain has a lot less trust in Google compared to a blog host like Blogspot that's been around for ages).

Lol :) I'm going to have a look at his anchor text now, wonder how many people have spammed his site like that :)

First you can take the blog spot blog because is this blog for google one the products and learn some tips on some seo authority sites and built contents, back links naturealy, don't use copied contents post for quality worthable contents, update daily after 1 month surly u got a rank

Build your own website and practice first with a nice tier one link structure with high
quality content. Do not use a web 2.0 site for learning how to rank.

Yea, the honest answer - just build some Web 2.0 sites on Wordpress/blogspot etc and practice with those.

Just register a .com at GoDaddy. Use the Honey chrome plug in which searches for coupon codes for you and get your domain for $2.00. Then set it up at a cheap $1/month hosting.

Then you're testing on a real testcase rather than a web 2.0 which plays by different rules.

I don't understand the question. 'Where'? How about on the inter-webs? I'm not sure where else you'd do SEO.
