Weekly SEO Tips

""How to properly choose best website for links placement?

1) Website DA should be not less than 10.
2) Choose relevant theme of the website.
3) Backlinks should be in text, comment or profile.
4) OBL of the website - not more than 10.
5) After you get links, submit URL to Google using Add to Google Index Tool."""

Thanks for the tips. To add my 2 cents:
1) Relevant theme of the website is best to check with Ahrefs Topical flow metric if you want a targeted traffic, not jush some traffic.
2) Check your newly acquired and lost backlinks with Serpstat. The tool is handy because it shows Alexa ranks of your referring domains along with its own inbuilt Trust Flow that is also useful.
3) If an authoritative website cut lose your backlinks it's probably prudent to contact them and ask why. (Who knows what you might find out about your own site)

We have recently talked about loading speed of a website and its importance in terms of SEO.
In this connection would be appropriate to mention Google's AMP launched in February this year.

It's kinda of attempt to make more user friendly mobile webpages which has its own HTML standards
for building web content on mobile devices. Basically, most tags in an AMP HTML page are regular
HTML tags plus some AMP-specific tags.

So, why do we should take care about it?

- AMP pages load 30 times faster
- AMP pages tend to perform better in search both in terms of rankings and CTRs
- Easy to implement via plugin if you use WordPress

Can be a good idea to include it into your strategy.

As for the trends that can be taken in consideration for the future strategy,
pay your attention to Optimization for voice search.

The data from recent surveys shows that more than 40% of USA teens and adults
do use voice search and this number is getting bigger.

What are the main features of Voice Search should be taken into aacount:
  • shorter search queries
  • optimize your web resource for a natural that is the use of questions (how do to smth)
  • queries have local value (where to find smth)

This time let's take into consideration transfer from HTTP to HTTPS

Why HTTPS?
  • Security and privacy - It encrypts all communication. Prevents unauthorized access.
  • Increased rankings in Google
  • Protection of referral information
  • Credibility from users
  • Uses SSL to move data
  • Is secured via TLS protocol
  • Data integrity - Data cannot be modified or corrupted during transfer without being detected
Some tips to take into consideration:

  • Choose the kind of certificate you need: Domain Validation, Extended Validation or Wildcard
  • Use 2048-bit key certificate
  • Replace absolute URLs with relative
  • Replace manually placed absolute links in your articles or blog
  • Fix links for media-content and outside scripts
  • Using robots.txt do not block from crawling your HTTPS site
  • Managing 310 redirects
  • Check your site for mistakes in code with the help of parsers
  • Check correct work in GA

But you should bear in mind that HTTPS sites will only have the benefit of a lightweight signal
within the overall ranking algorithm, carrying less weight than other signals such as high-quality content,
so it is a good idea to transfer but not to expect a very significant boost in ranking.
