Thanks for the tips. To add my 2 cents:
1) Relevant theme of the website is best to check with Ahrefs Topical flow metric if you want a targeted traffic, not jush some traffic.
2) Check your newly acquired and lost backlinks with Serpstat. The tool is handy because it shows Alexa ranks of your referring domains along with its own inbuilt Trust Flow that is also useful.
3) If an authoritative website cut lose your backlinks it's probably prudent to contact them and ask why. (Who knows what you might find out about your own site)
