I had the same issue with many websites ... and none of them returned back even after 1 year ... i believe if this happens then something is wrong with your website and Google doesn't like it and doesn't rank anymore ... i happened over 20 websites with the same issue, fast grow for 1/2 month or few weeks only, and after huge drop to 0, if someone else happens this and there website success to return back on Google will be a good sign but with my luck none return :)

There might have been a Google algorithm update around February 3-4, 2025. Google frequently rolls out updates that impact search rankings. Check:

  1. Google Search Status Dashboard – See if there's an indexing issue.
  2. SEO Communities (Twitter, BlackHatWorld, SEO Round Table, etc.) – Others may be experiencing the same.
  3. Google Search Console (GSC) – Look for manual penalties or deindexing issues.
  4. Ahrefs/SEMrush – Check if competitors gained rankings.
  5. Server/DNS Issues – Ensure your site was live during this period.
Post your Google Analytics & Search Console insights (impressions, CTR, ranking drops), and I can help

There are multiple reasons might be there . We should analyze it based on multiple criteria . But Google algorithm update is one of the reason which should be addressed and your site current status and make sure whether that matched with latest SEO terms. So, based on the research , you can overcome your drop!

I think it might be due to the Google algorithm changes. There were unexpected ranking fluctuations and traffic changes had happened during Feb 4th & 5th.

If needed, check your backlinks and make sure the site is optimized well for search engines to load faster on both the desktop & mobile versions. Also, if you have made any changes on your site in recent times this kind of issue will happen. You can wait for some more time and see.

Yes as @Titans mentioned there were ranking fluctuations last week ,
Continue optimizing your site, and the rankings may recover over time.

What recent changes did you make on the site?

How much URLs you submitted to Google in the sitemap? How much URLs your site has it in total?

I have exactly the same problem.

Did you change anything or update or edit anything on the website at that time? In many cases, changes in Google's algorithm also cause our rankings to drop and traffic to decrease significantly.

no changes

There is a good chance that Google may have made an algorithm update around February 3-4, and manual penalties, indexing issues or a sudden rise of competitors may also cause a drop in traffic. Check your organic traffic, crawl errors and ranking changes in Google Search Console and Analytics, and evaluate the impact of any recent backlinking or content changes.
