Hey everyone,

I'm working on setting up multiple accounts for things like:

i) Crypto PTC/Faucet sites

ii) Micro-working platforms

Social media tasks

To stay under the radar, I’m using anti-detect browsers (I’ve found a few that offer lifetime free profiles).

So can you please help me to choose a proxy server? I know residential proxies best, but they are too costly.

Here I have some options:

1. Proxy Server Choice: Webshare vs. Proxy-Seller:

i) Webshare Datacenter Proxy Server [https://www.webshare.io/pricing]

ii) Proxy-Seller IPv6 [https://proxy-seller.com/ipv6/?region=785]

Which one do you think is best, and if you know something better with a cheap price, can you suggest that to me as well?

Also, quick follow-up question:

When doing multi-login/multi-account activity, which proxy connection type works best?

i) Static – stable IP, but potentially more detectable

ii) Rotating – better anonymity, but frequent IP changes could trigger login alerts

iii) Backbone – Webshare’s option that offers stable connections with some IP rotation

Appreciate any input. Thanks in advance!

Webshare is the better pick — IPv6 proxies often cause issues and get flagged.

For multi-account setups, static proxies are safer if you want your accounts to last. Rotating is fine for quick tasks but riskier for logins.

If you can, upgrade to cheap residential later for better stability. Good luck!

I have very little knowledge about proxies asides vpn's... this is very insightful.

If you are operating an e-commerce or financial account, you can use static residential + virtual machine isolation.

If you often do marketing on social media, mobile proxy with fingerprint browser may be a better choice.

You can also use data center rotation to complete tasks such as data collection and verification.

Yes, use Webshare for now. Later, if you scale heavy into social media farming, think about mobile proxies.

I have no idea why everyone is recommending web share here, I have seen more negative threads about them here than any other provider

Webshare’s handling of customer transactions raises serious concerns. After I paid for proxy services, they unexpectedly suspended my account two days later and demanded that I submit a passport for identity verification.
This verification was never mentioned clearly before purchase. It feels deceptive to accept payment without informing customers of the mandatory KYC process that would ultimately block access to the service.

When I declined to submit such sensitive documents, Webshare refused to restore access to my purchased proxies. Despite requesting a refund based on their failure to provide the service, they refused to return my money. As a result, I incurred approximately $2,500 in losses from both service downtime and the urgent need to find a new provider.

Customer support at Webshare also contributed to the frustration. Their answers were evasive, often sidestepping direct questions, suggesting a lack of accountability.
Other user reports across the internet reveal a pattern of similar complaints—indicating that my case is not an isolated incident.

In my opinion, Webshare's practices amount to a bait-and-switch tactic: lure customers in with an easy signup, lock them out with hidden KYC demands, and deny refunds once they have your money. Such unethical behavior should be a red flag for anyone considering their services.

I mean datacenter. Just to clarify, I actually meant datacenter proxies. I saw the OP was comparing datacenter vs residential, and I get the concern about cost. What I meant is they can use datacenter for now since datacenter proxies are known to be the more affordable option.

(PS. I have no edit button)

Hmm, I thought about starting with a Webshare data center proxy and then, after 1-2 months, moving to a static residential proxy, which is quite cheap compared to a residential one.

Well, what's your opinion about backbone proxy connection? It's a hybrid of static & rotating, and I've heard it has low ban risks compared to static. Is it good for login purposes?

And any particular location's data datacenter IPs where do you think less ban-prone ones are? I'm thinking about the Netherlands. What do you think?

Is there any website available where I am able to check if my anti-detect browser + proxy setup truly works or not?

Finally, is Webshare too bad? I mean, there are many good reviews about them, but some are bad too. Aren't their data centers able to handle crypto faucet sites for a short amount of time, like 1-2 months?

So which provider do you recommend? I just want to start at a low cost for the first 1-2 months; that's why I'm looking forward to datacenter proxy and Webshare, which offer it at the cheapest price of all (plus 10 proxies free with a limited 1GB). Only Decodo & Proxy-Seller do IPv6 come close to it.

Why are you only sticking to these 2 providers specifically?

Why are you only sticking to these 2 providers specifically?

Because these 2 offer proxies at the cheapest price, another one I recently found out is Decodo (Smartproxy).

i would say 4g / 5g is the best no resi

But Mobile Proxy is too costly; it's not feasible for multi-accounting earning purposes, especially in my case.

Proxy-seller.

Webshare is known for web data scraping, poor quality, not even a possibility for what you're looking for

Well, I must say that I tried Webshare because they offered 10 free Premium Proxies some time ago. All proxies we're horrible and later found at that's used for testing platforms, and not so legal tests as well.
It might be good for people doing those tests like testing their website on 100s of GEOs, but it's not good for a normal usage like surfing the web.

I use proxies, a lot, for Google Ads, so they really need to be decent, fast and at least be clean, not flagged by Google by any change. Recently I'm using 922Proxy, but I tested out Proxy-Seller and it was extremely good for the pricing. No issues with Google nor any type of flag on the IPs.

About Decodo, I've never used, never tested, and it's really the first time i'm reading that name :)

Quick edit: I must say, Decodo looks reliable by quickly looking at reviews out there and by looking at their website. It's really a matter of testing

Ok, so exactly what kind of problem do you face when you are trying to use Webshare data center 10 free proxies? Is it easily detectable, bad connectivity, a red flag, or a banned account that you signed up for using their proxies, or anything else?

I'm also like you, looking for Webshare 10 free proxies to test faucets and PTC sites like FaucetCrypto. If you are aware this kind of site, what do you think they easily detect Webshare data center proxies and ban my account?

Proxy-Seller IPv6 is cheaper, but they don't offer a free trial, plus many websites don't support IPv6.

Well, Decodo, formerly known as Smartproxy I think you already know that maybe it also has a cheap data center proxy plan, but I don't know about a free trial. They said I need to chat online; let's see.

Hello ms5,

At this moment I believe you already piked your provider gladly. Share your experience here, it is always benefit to people here around the forum.

I'm not really aware of this kind of websites but I believe that Webshare proxies would be flagged or can be flagged easily.

Proxy-seller might not offer free trial but they're pretty good, i can assure you that.

For Decodo as I said before, never heard about it, but looks good
