So I have a few Tumblrs now, ones that relate to my money making site and one that don't, and point to another tumbler that does.
but I want to have so other 2.0 to point to my site I look at weebly but what extent of content do you add if any?
does anyone have an input or examples of pages they have?

Hey, sorry to tell you that but tumblr and weebly are not do-follow link anymore if I remember well tumblr use a kind of redirect and will pass a little or no juice and weebly no link juice at all, I stopped doing web2 1 years ago so double check what I said to be sure is still the case.

If you want to make a strong web2 network make them like a PBN, handwrite content quality manual T2...

@virtualbyron I think there are total mixed reviews and a lot of unsure thoughts on web 2.0 websites I've had my Tumblrs a while now and seem to still work but not as effective as before.
So if you're stopped using 2.0 what are you using instead?

I'm on the same boat as you are right now, I'm creating web 2.0s meanwhile building a PBN, i have to say Web 2.0s should not be your main link building options because they pass very little juice nowadays. The good thing with Web 2.0s is that they gain PA really fast but you will need tools like GSA SER to juice them up. They should also be treated like your MS, 8-12 Quality human readable articles with 2-3 static pages (About, Contact, Social Media....) per web 2.0 and make sure everything is RANDOM to leave no footprints.

My strategy so far:
I bought a list of emails from fiverr to use (Different email per site, stay away from Gmail).
I installed LastPass Addon to keep track of all passwords and emails, might as well make a csv file.
The web 2.0s I'm aiming for are: Wordpress, Tumblr, Weebly, Wix, Livejournal, Jimdo, Blogspot (even though it's a Google service...) and more...
I would advice to use a VPN and switch servers for each site, it's safer to use different IPs per site.
A good start would be 10 Web 2.0s, creating 3-4 everyday.
MAKE THEM LOOK NATURAL, It's crucial for their success, have an Author's name and info (use fakenamegenerator.com for that).
Adding an author's picture and social media would also help (Get a picture of a random dude from G, and niche relevant FB, IG pages).
Create at least 2 static pages titling them differently for each site (ie: About me, About the author, About Joe | Contact me, Contact Joe, Get in touch).
Scrape the content with Kontent Machine if you have it, or write a quick 100-200 words yourself.
Add images with keywords in the alt tags, create a quick logo online for you site, make the design look neat and natural.
----Articles----
Articles are the holy grail of web 2.0s, they'll either make you or break you, i definitely advise against scraping content for your T1s.
I usually use buzzsumo to get relevant articles to my keywords, except the articles should be in other languages such as French or Spanish.
I translate the article to english and give it a quick read and fix any grammar errors, i then run a plagiarism check to make sure they're 100% unique.
I also add images, YT videos, 2 images 1 youtube video, no media at all, JUST KEEP IT RANDOM.
I add anchors to my articles, 30% linking to my site and a 70% linking to relevant authority sites to camouflage mine.
I would advise creating a folder with over 30 articles saved in notepads, then simply copy-paste to your site, that is time efficient.
I Schedule all posts to my web 2.0s (8-12 articles per site) over a period of 2 weeks, different posting time for each article, make it RANDOM.
Some articles should have no links to your site, some should have no links at all, some should have images, some should have videos. RANDOM
After about 2-3 weeks, once all web 2.0s posted their content, I would start a 2nd tier campaign with GSA SER and keep it running.
Results should start showing about 2 weeks after starting GSA but make sure web 2.0s are not your only backlinks.

Biggest advice, Make them high quality, just like your Moneysite for best results and keep everything RANDOM

PBNs are way more powerful than web 2.0s, in fact the most powerful black hat technique is PBNs. If done properly, you would dominate the SERPs

Mixed reviews are from people who don't know what they are talking about but nothing is unclear about the type of links, you just have to check the HTML code to see if it's ******** or not, now I'm in more competitive niche where the web2 have near to zero impact so I'm into guest post, of course its time consuming and more expensive but it rank well

I know you trying to help OP and that good but please stop spreading this kind of false advice, most of the web2 platform to which you refer are no follow meaning they will rank nothing alone and in the better case provide a little kind of value, people who read this can spend time and money for nothing, literally nothing I mean even some of them are "NO INDEX."

"The good thing with Web 2.0s is that they gain PA really fast but you will need tools like GSA SER to juice them up" > PA is a metric value created by MOZ, meaning PA doesn't rank anything and can be easily faked with spam low-quality links, same for DA, I will not spend 20 minutes here for explaining everything wrong in your message but seriously it's time in this forum to stop saying everything like it's a proven fact, it make me waste a lot of time when I was a newbie and therefore it will waste time to others like OP which talking about mixed opinion...

I'm pretty sure i NEVER said use them alone, and i'm pretty sure i stated to not use them as your only backlinks, they should be used as a free way to diversify your backlinks, which in that case will actually have a lot of value, i also provided tips to not "spend time". Even if a backlink is no follow, it still has value with it being on a parasite, especially big sites like WP or Weebly, tell me which one of them are "NO INDEX" pls ?

I didn't ask him to spam his Web 2.0s to have a fake PA, you're literally making no sense. I said build a Tier 2 with GSA which will obviously be set up to not be spammy and it should have relevant keywords and content, the idea is passing link juice to your money site.

I'm really not here to argue the obvious, i'm pretty sure my post was clearly in details, if there is any "misinformation" in it then please care to spend a 5 minutes to let us know about them, it's good to share knowledge but from an actual perspective, you may have had no results with web 2.0s but hat wouldn't be the case with everyone, including myself.

Sorry to break it to you but you are wrong. I have ranked with only web 2.0's before and still am today. Do I recommend it? No but its possible. There are still a handful of web 2.0 platforms that are do follow and will index with time.

My advice to OP, web 2.0's are used to diversify your backlink profile mostly. Do not focus too much time on it. However, when building them make sure that they look like A REAL WEBSITE/BLOG. Do not make them look spammy. Follow this guide to creating Web 2.0's
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/guide-the-art-of-super-web-2-0-creation.683979/

There are many types of backlinks and focusing on just one is not good for your site. If google sees your site with only backlinks from web 2.0's you are screwed.

Good Luck OP

Thanks for the input where would people advise spending time and effort in?

PBN,Guest Post's,web 2.0's,Press Release, social bookmarks,High quality blog comments, profile links...the list just keeps going on. The more diversity the better you will look in Google's eyes and the better you will rank.

PBN is the biggest of all though so make sure to make the best possible one. I usually just buy expired domains instead of scraping them myself to avoid the headache.

Like I said no index and no follow links will not rank, alone or not

no index = NOT INDEXED = NOTHING
no follow = NO LINKS JUICES

GSA or any other automated links software with spun content can't be called "quality links", I never said I don't have result or you can't rank with WEB2 I even said the opposite, anyways good luck to you

I say WEB2 with no follow links and no index can't rank, and I said PA is a metric value from MOZ. You said I'm wrong, you said you rank with no follow and no index! WOOOW just wooooooow, why I lose my time here...

I believe you have a whole different opinion on link building, your strategy must be different too. However, this thread is regarding web 2.0s and just for the record all web 2.0s mentioned here are indexing for me, i don't know which 2.0 won't index for you, we all know that no index links are worthless and may even mark your site as spam if you have many of them. Your opinion in no follow links is wrong, They may not have as much impact as d0follow but they are valuable in Google's eyes. If you're depending to rank on Guest posts alone, i really hope you're posting in relevant sites with quality content and even with that, you're still at risk to land on a manual penalty with the new Penguin algorithm.

OMG yes its seems we don't do the same SEO anyways you still arguing without knowing what we are talking about.... NO INDEX is an HTML attribute

"all web 2.0s mentioned here are indexing for me, i don't know which 2.0 won't index for you"
No you not, "no index" mean NO INDEX it's not about indexing rate/time it's about HTML

"we all know that no index links are worthless and may even mark your site as spam if you have many of them"
Again please try to understand, NO INDEX can't be indexed, so it's not spam, it's not something it's nothing ZERO NADA, google don't know you put a link in the article, google don't even know this web2 property exist

"They may not have as much impact as d0follow but they are valuable in Google's eyes"
Exactly what I said in the first post, they are of course necessary and mandatory for a good natural link profile

"If you're depending to rank on Guest posts alone, i really hope you're posting in relevant sites with quality content"
When I say guest post, is guest post... So not PBN with great skin that you buy at $5 on fiverr (you can also buy the exactly the same here at $150), guest post is a link from the money site of someone if not it's just a PBN called guest post for marketing purpose, so real guest post are actually the most powerful and safest link type ever

"even with that, you're still at risk to land on a manual penalty with the new Penguin algorithm."
Since no human can see if the link I build are organic or not they are no chance a machine can do it for now and the following years, maybe skynet will understand in the future

JUST READ WHAT IS NO INDEX

Ok, BEST of luck for your rankings ;)

Ok, BEST of luck for your rankings ;)
Thanks, keep going to outrank your competitors with web2 safely powered by GSA on no follow and no index free and scalable property, that is the highest trust signal for google!

I ranked in the 20s with 10 web2s and the classic lightningblitz guide. Making a few $ a week.

It seems like the difference between web 2.0s working or not depends on the competition. If someone has a 1k/mv keyword with the lowest competition possible maybe they can rank #1 with web 2.0s and gsa?

But usually people and especially pros are talking about medium competition when they mention PBN and stuff.

Maybe noobs don't really understand competition they are easily confused.
I know I didn't at all until a few weeks ago

Lol, Tumblr links still work and you can get a direct link from them (not redirect). You just have to code it manually in the introduction part above all the posts/photos... but web 2.0s are just for diversity, they are fairly useless on competitive terms.
