Was making $3,500 a month using short-term methods. Help point me in the right direction, anyone?

I would keep the same thing going, but instead of emails, I would turn them into Youtube videos.

1. Whatever you had written in the subject line of your emails, use that as the title of your videos.

2. Whatever content you had written in the email, read that out loud in a video and make sure you transcribe the video inside Youtube so the search engines know what the video is saying.

3. Whatever image/photos you had in the emails, put that image in the video and let it run the whole length of the video while you read the content out loud.

4. Whatever keywords you used in the email, add those keywords in the description of the video and in the keyword section of the video.

5. Whatever business name you used to send the mass emails, use that same name on the Youtube channel and the gmail account that goes with it.

6. Send out one last mass email to let everyone on your list know you are now on Youtube and to subscribe to the channel if they want to be the first to see the new stuff you have for sale. You can also say something like, "The first 100 people to subscribe to my new channel get $10 off their next order" in order to get them over there.

* Bonus *

7. Take all the old emails you already sent out and turn all of them into videos. The people on your list may have already seen the content, but no one on Youtube has seen it. Put up 1-2 videos a week and you will get organic traffic because when you frequently post videos to your channel, Youtube will shoot your videos to the top of search results.

With this setup you don't have to do anything different and you can keep the business going.

Very interesting, as I too had a similar method but I never acted on it. OP Are there no legal risks to this except being banned? To everyone encouraging OP are spam laws not enforced?

Spam laws are total BS. They are not enforced.

Good question! I did try to recreate accounts, but somehow, everything I made would get auto-banned before I even sent a first campaign. At first, I thought it'd be my IP, so I used a vpn. It didn't work.. Instant bans all around! So, then I figured it could straight up be my domain name I was using. Maybe they blacklisted it, so I bought a new one just to change things up a bit.. Instant ban several times. I'm guessing it could be the actual list of emails that the system picks up and just connects it with my old banned accounts. Who knows though! Thanks a lot for your reply, by the way. I appreciate it

Did you use the same payment method as well as the same name/email details when you opened the new accounts? Also, do you use the same emails in each campaign? From your OP, I was under the impression that you were constantly scraping Twitter bios and sending emails once and then following up on those that responded, no? I mean, you would have complaints otherwise and piss off a lot of people if you tried to send multiple emails to previous people that already said no to your services (whatever you are selling).

I can recommend you two more viable options:
1) Using Gmail as your mass emailing provider - Gmail has the best white-listed servers in the world, so your inbox ratios are going to be pretty high, however it has limits as to how many emails you can send per hour or per day. But, gmail accounts are pretty cheap (like $20 for 100 accounts) and you can always use more accounts to send more emails and if you get a few accounts banned, it's not a problem, because you can always have fresh ones standing by.
2) JV with someone who is experienced in mass emailing and split profits - if you want to do that, you need to post a thread in the JV section here in BHW.

I'm sure there's someone with more information on this subject, but to me it seemed a bit tricky to consider it straight up spam (Which in the states is illegal). The leads I scraped, I made sure were all from people that had these keywords/phrase in it: "For business inquiries contact me at: <email here> " I'm not sure if that is a loophole, but the emails I sent weren't truly unsolicited. They posted their email on their profile for the purpose of being contacted with business inquiries/related. And that's what I did!

I rarely got reported as spam, all replies to my email campaigns were positive (despite them not signing up for any list).
In other words, I sent "mass spam" for a year with no problems. It was super targeted, I guess that's what I'm trying to say. Most people would actually welcome and reply with thanks for my "mass spam". Hehe.

But yes, definitely seek advice from someone with more knowledge on the actual laws of it!

Also, sorry if this is looked down on by the forum and shouldn't be spoken of. I'm not giving advice on how to do it. Just explaining how I did it myself.

Lol, don't worry, what you are doing is perfectly fine in this forum. There are lots of worse methods out there, some of them even being more illegal than blackhat. If you comply to the SPAM act rules, you will be fine. For example, you need to put an unsubscribe link at the end of all your emails, etc... Plus, if you get no complaints, no one is going to give a shit.

If you want to turn this into a whitehat business, consider giving away an eBook that explains how to do whatever you are selling. For example if you were reselling SEO services, write an eBook targeted to your niche that explains how to manually perform the SEO tasks. In order to download the book, the users need to subscribe to your mailing list.

When you describe the method, don't make it simple. Describe an easy to grasp but labor intensive method of performing your service, then a couple days after you deliver the eBook send out an email blast offering your service. Most clients would happily pay $25 to save themselves from having to do all this work themselves.
