Want to Start my own SEO Work

I currently am working as SEO in a SEO firm in India, I want to start my individual SEO firm can you please advice me on how should I go ahead?

Start with the foundation...

Build your business rep by building a couple of sites and get them to the highest position you can, as social proof.

Then, do the same for a few clients for cheap to get your foot in the door with actual testimonials of ' paid ' clients.

The most important thing is to build your experience and knowledge. If you don't have that covered, then don't bother, as you'd be wasting your time if you don't know what you are doing and what works. Furthermore, you shouldn't be offering services if you don't know what really works versus theory that you've simply read about in a guru program...which, just for your info - 99% of that stuff doesn't work and isn't ' SEO ' but, merely a marketing technique/tactic. Be clear on which you have and make sure it's what you actually need.

Bottom line here is to know your craft or it isn't ' your ' craft.

Hey thanks for this detailed advice i will surely take care of it.. You are correct as you said about the craft thing but I can say that I know my Job and I keep on learning more.. I have been working with SEO firm since last 1 and half year...have handeled multiple projects and got ranking for generic and competitive keywords like 'Dating' and 'Online Dating'...

You have to start at the bottom of the ladder to get to the top. Build your portfolio and make it impressive. You might have to start down by doing the very basic dirty jobs but once you put in the effort and get the hang of it, you can get clients.

Basically I am Planning to start my income atleast of $10 to $15 a day.. is this possible? if Yes how? Please advice...

P.S : I know there are lots of tips and advices on the forum but please understand that they all are scattered and each new idea confuses me on what to do..
