Video streaming sites using youtube hosted videos?

Hi, I have been visiting a few video sites recently and impressed with their video hosting, I checked their source and it seems they are hosted on youtube (or google drive or something...). They don't use the youtube player though and they have all quality videos (360p, 720p, 1080p). I was wondering how this is possible?

Develop your application and when the user uploads videos you can call API of youtube so that videos will actually added to your youtube account. Then you can embed those videos into your application.
