Hey Guys,

Not sure if this is the right section to post this question in or not.

Basically, I'm 17 and have a PayPal account (I've had it for like 2 or 3 years). I have a monthly limit of $500 because the account is unverified, and I already have to hooked up to my bank account (which is under my moms bank account). In order to lift the $500 limit, it wants me to verify 2 of 3 things -- my bank account (which I did), my SSN (which I can't do until I am 18), and my debit card. Is there any chance that my PayPal account will lock up if I verify it with my debit card? I am fairly sure that it is a safe, but I just thought that I would ask here just in case I'm about to screw myself up badly. Thanks!

You can use either a debit or a credit card, doesn't matter which. PayPal will place a charge on the card and then give you instructions on how to verify. You DO need access to your bank statement for this step.

No you'll be fine they just simply want to verify it so they can make sure that you're the owner of the card. It's simply part of their identity verification and your age isn't requested or given when you verifying your debit/credit card.
