All life is precious infact I love plants they are the basis of the food chain and I believe people eating them are cruel, insensitive, enemies of the environment and has been fooled by the agriculture companies.

Just because a plant can not defend itself does not mean you can cut it down and eat it. Plants are people too. It is time people start speaking of plant rights. Plants are factory farmed, fed with chemical fertilizers and experimented upon and cut down by giant machines. This is extremely cruel.

I dont think you know what your talking about. Or maybe this post was a joke or something. I can think of one thing that made sense here tbh.

Its a simple question, you dont want it done to you the same way they dont want it to be done to them. What give you the right to do something to others that you wouldnt like done to you and clearly they dont like being done to them. I dont need excuses, just your personal reason. Simple question, simple answer
It is a simple question, but you don't like simple answers. the lion eats the gazelle because he can. that's all there is to it. there are no "rights" in nature, bud. Those are human creations.

what gives you the right to question 1.5 million years of evolution? and what gives you the right to eat poor, defenseless plants? They obviously don't like it, either, yet you willingly ignore their wants just to garnish your plate.

there is one rule with life: for you to live, something else must die. That's it. No BS. You prefer to attach imaginary concepts to animals to make you less guilty about eating plants. Sorry, I don't make those sort of distinctions.

Again, if veganism is the better path, answer these questions:

Why are there no vegan civilizations? Why are there no long-term vegan cultures? Why do vegan parents average lower birth weights than their contemporary counterparts? Why do vegans exhibit higher rates of mental illness? Why do vegans exhibit increases in tooth decay?

The answer is that humans are not herbivores, they are omnivores. We've evolved that way for the last 1.5 million+ years.

and just for the record, you can stop eating meat all you want, but you are still an omnivore. Why? because you are a human. Stop denying who and what you are. Embrace your place in nature, don't hide from it.

and if you persist in attaching your concept of sentience to other beings as a way to determine which to eat, you can rest assured that you can eat a number of non-sentient animals.

if folks want to start doing something for the environment, stop avoiding meat and start eating invasive species. Feral hogs are devastating the US. As well as asian carp, tilapia, lionfish, and any number of introduced species (including a variety of introduced plants, like kudzu).

So, let's eat the bastards! Feral bacon is almost as good as factory-farmed bacon, but you can eat it without the guilt!

Did you know that there are enough Feral hogs in the US to provide 50+% of the pork in this country?

And just thing, if you ate feral hog once in a while, the price of your veggie burgers would go down, cause farmers spend a lot of money killing those hogs to raise your corn and soybeans...

The easiest argument against vegetarianism is that too many animals eat other animals for us to say that it's not perfectly natural and simply part of life to eat meat.

WTF wexzone, you can not condone the wholesale slaughter of baby corns, corns, soayabean plants and other vegetables. Don't you have any compassion towards these poor hapless living organism. Are you in favor of cruelty towards plants just because they do not react audibly or visually and do not bleed.

I have had it with people killing innocent plants , eating them, making furnitures and house out of their rotting dead bodies. It is a grisly and macabre practice that has gone for far too long.

bacteria want to live in your body, why take medicine to kill them? what gives you the right to kill them?

For anyone that wants a pretty awesome documentary on the health benefits of plant based foods check this out http://www.hulu.com/watch/279734?src=sem-plus-google&cmp=507&gclid=CNj--rGZrrICFYaDQgodWmkA1g

With that said I STILL eat meat and respect and see both sides opinions. I'm just seeing and feeling more and more what this type of diet can do along with balancing other foods.

Thats the kind of input we need. Most meat eaters fully support "plant based" diets.

I see the benefits in vegetarian diets,
I see the benefits in eating meat,
I see the benefits of living healthy in general.

"Balance lives in all things" (Not everything is black and white... Unless you make it like that.)

yeah, I'm a plant murdered. In fact, it's almost a genocide!

but, that's what I'm saying! kill those feral hogs so they don't those defenseless plants! It is the only ethical thing to do! I can almost hear the soybeans crying...

It is completely instinctual for human beings to eat meat. This is why humans all over the world have been eating meat for about as long as we have been on the planet without any influence . That being said, there are those who believe that at this point in human evolution, we have no need to eat meat. I respect that opinion; however, I do not subscribe to it myself.

Ya we got the sarcasm after the third time.

Since my first day of life i am living with cats, later i get my self a dog, i love them more than people. But that does not make me a vegetarian. My dog and cat eats chicken and other meet stuff with me. Besides, that chicken is going to be killed no matter if i will eat it or someone else, so it does not make me guilty. However i couldn't ever kill an animal and later eat it.

Any one here like the song 'Carrot juice is murder' by Arrogant Worms.

It is going to be anthem for my new life rights group called

People for Ethical and Natural Improvement of Society

Good one :D

I kill 90% of the meat my family eats. I raise those animals myself. I know exactly what goes in, I know exactly what goes out. No misconceptions about the process, here.

billions of "sentient beings" are killed every year to produce vegetables. You know how many animals were killed to produce my dinner? ONE.

Which causes less suffering?
