Hey all, I have recently come up on some FIRE expired domains. Im talking straight gangster backlinks. Starting a blog or PBN with a DA 9 website will be a massive benefit versus using a freshie. I'm almost certain one of them (concirt) was an old PAA site one of you guys gave up on since the main backlinks all go to a page on "Why banks are closed on *holiday*", and questions like that. On top of the three great expired domains I found on expireddomains, I bought one from a fellow BHW member. I think this is going to be important going on in our endeavors, boys. That's because of all of the AI mass publish blogs; even the smallest backlink history and the aged domain will have a significant EDGE. And what do we love at BHW more than an EDGE??
I want to make the most out of these expired domains. I have some backlinks from nytimes, standford.edu, HuffingtonPost, and tens to hundreds of other high-authority sites. I need to recreate the pages on these websites where the backlinks point to. I hope I can do that before any good backlinks are lost... But other than that, what is the best way to monetize these? I believe I should make my own little PBN. Not a spammy pbn, but just a tiny handful of reputable blog sites that'll link to each other. And then point to my money sites. Let me break down what I'm working with here... Remember, when I say "money sites," I have two primary projects I'm working on right now: a business education site and an independent political brand.
1st Domain (DA 3): Standfordmint. This one seems to have been a blog or newsletter for actual Standford students. It's another one without ridiculous backlinks, but I firmly believe it's enough of an aged background to get a good jump start. Its primary backlinks are from nytimes and two subdomain.standford.edu pages.
2nd Domain (DA 2): "CraftingDemocracy." The backlinks here are mostly .edu's, which is excellent. Theres about 10 HQ backlinks here. It's nothing crazy, but it'll rank higher than any brand-new AI mass publish site in the same niche. What's even better is this is a FIRE domain name.
3rd Domain (DA 9): concirt. This is the one I believe is an old PAA site. Maybe from one of you lovely fuckers
4th domain (DA 2): Finally, I found the domain on BHW. It's more excellent that it's in the political niche. However, only a couple of backlinks are politically related. The only two backlinks worth anything on it are Anytime and HuffPost. Thats great. You may wonder, what about the other thousand or so? Well, they're some links to a BMI calculator that used to be on the site... *sigh* I was not necessarily thrilled when I saw the majority (90%+) of backlinks were for calculators. Still, I had committed to getting this domain, and I do not do bad business. If I say I'm going to do something-- consider it done. Besides, there are many things I can do to this domain to reap massive benefits. I'm not sure what the consequences of something like a bunch of backlinks for a calculator are, but it's still likely better than a new domain. Quite possibly, this much link power could be a great thing. Only time will tell!!!
Now that I've shown a brief overview of these websites, I'd like to ask if anyone has advice or antecedent experiences they may can share with me. I am not new to rrunning/growing websites/blogs; however, I'm a noob regarding expired domains. These are the first expired domains I've ever dealt with. I love sharing knowledge here, but I'm here to LEARN. I love when you all teach me new things I was unaware of. This exchange of information and knowledge is how we all grow and prosper. It's why this community is my primary source of marketing knowledge. You have taught me more knowledge in these rooms than in 6 years and have two business degrees (Auburn University, AASCB.) Please, fellow marketers, teach me your juicy expired domain secrets. "Put Me ON", as the kids say these days. I don't need explicit step-by-step. I'm quite capable of a lot. There's no way building these out will be beyond my skills.
And if you took the time to write some advice for me and my shiny new expired domains, I thank you! I do appreciate it. Once I've figured out the direction I'll be going with these, maybe I'll create a journey thread to keep me accountable.
