I was thinking whether or not using a stop word or suffix in a domain has any SEO effect that can decrease rankings. For example for the keyword greatest movie getting the domain thegreatestmovie dot c0m vs using an extra word at the end such as greatestmoviesite dot c0m

What seo impact do you think this has? Will site A rank better than site B?

EMD's don't have the impact they used to have, so you are better off picking a brandable domain.

Cheers!

Go with something that's brandable. My EMD's are still ranking, however, they have strong backlink profiles and age. New EMD's will just cause you more work to rank.

Both will rank equally the same. Just depends which one you prefer for that particular project.

stop words do not always affect rank... IMO. As others have said, do not spend too much time on the domain. I do not think adding "the" in the domain will affect it in a positive or negative way.

I prefer to use EMD, but if there is not available i use stop words in the domain name.
I don't see any difference in my ranking.
