I just received a Go Daddy Verification request were they tell me that if I don't take action/respond within 48h my domain will be cancelled.
They want me to send a scanned copy of my ID or passport, this is not the problem though. The problem is that they also ask me to send
an explanation of what my website will be used for and mind you, my website has the word "free" in it. I'm currently using my website for
a CPA method, where people will download fake cd-keys after they complete a survey.

What I want to know is, can I be honest with Go Daddy about the use of my website and if not, what should I tell them?

Thank you for your time!

If you're going to provide them with your ID, do not use the domain for what you have intended to use it for.

Your best bet is to go elsewhere.

GoDaddy isn't your friend.

Are you sure this email came from GoDaddy?

I'm pretty sure that it's not a phish because my account is locked atm until I do what they want... Should I just ask for a refund and look for another domain service?

Yes get a refund and go to another provider... I've never heard anything like this before... Are you hosting with them or just using them as a registrar?

GoDaddy has always been shit.

Ok, I'm going to ask for a refund then. Can some one recommend a good website where I can buy a domain without having this happen to me?
Also, thanks for the help guys!

They do do this. Godaddy has sent me a similar email. Just comply and make up a fake excuse, it's not as bad as you think. If you are still unsatisfied, transfer to another registrar.

do not i reapet do not tell godaddy what your going to be usingyour domain for really badidea mate just make sure the email is not a phish and change company

I looked up other peoples problems and I came to the conclusion that they might suspect that my account has been hacked (I payed with my mothers paypal).
I'm just going to try calling them tomorrow and see what happens from there, hopefully I get my account back without having to explain the purpose of my website...
