Hello guys!

I have a friend who's in need of a Security/IT course/program to receive a certificate.
Are there any one-year (or less) programs you know of, that don't cost x.xxx$ ?

Will rep + thank for all suggestions and help.

Thank you!

Hey OP,

I don't know any of them off the top of my head but they shouldn't be hard to find online.

I'd probably be able to get a hold of something for you but your friend wouldn't be able to actually get the physical certificate from it due to it being a download.

Even though he might not be able to get the physical certificate, he'd be able to go through the courses just like everyone else.

He'd basically be the equivalent of Certified [TITLE GOES HERE].

Does he want to earn the actual certificate or is he just looking for a piece of paper to provide credentials for skills he (hopefully) already has?

Most of the udemy.com courses have the option to get a certificate at the end of it,
and there are some relevant courses in udemy.

However, they may not have much "true VALIDITY" in the sense you may looking for,
but then again, some of those courses do have upsells which lead to certification of a more "respectable" level,
which could lead onto an more internationally recognised achievement.

If your friend doesn't mind some self studying then check out CompTIA A+. It's the industry standard and with self study it won't be too expensive.
