Why do you only want it on youtube? The more places, the more people will see it.
Are the youtube embed services social shares? And what are IFTTT rings?

Social shares are different. Those are people tweeting your video, google +1s, and facebook shares. Embeds are literally your video being embeded in a 3rd party site. Views on 3rd party sites count towards your video views.
IFTTT is a syndication network. If you set it up, once your video is published it will be syndicated out to as many web2.0 properties as you want to set up.
Wanted to hop in on this bc/ im a youtube producer as well; it seems that youtube's algorithm changed overnight a week or two weeks ago, and after being able to rank videos in very competitive keywords, it seems that my new videos can no longer do that even when I provide it with significant views/signals etc. There was definitely an algorithm change for the beat videos though, I've contacted other producers that seem to be having the same problem
I might have to look into some other options for ranking my videos now though as i have lost quite frankly a large portion of my income as I am unable to rank my videos now

Have you done any a/b testing to see what part of the algorithm may have changed? I haven't noticed anything, although I'm in a different niche from yours.
