Hate to tell you mate but hip-hop / rap has been absolutely massacred by the current batch of US rappers. Most UK rappers would murk their US counterparts lyrically, there are the old stand outs but nobody coming through anymore.
The biggest US rapper is a Canadian Jew for Christ sake.
It's actually quite sad what has happened to that music style to the point where non-autotuned hip-hop in the US is doomed to fail from the start as people are not used to it anymore.
