I just want to start of saying .uk.com domains are well worth the price tag! I bought my domain the other day and my seomoz tool bar said domain authority is 70/100! I check avon.uk.com and lakeside.uk.com and they too have the same authority.

I got indexed in a few hours aswel

I already rank on page 1 for one of my keywords its great. the other keywords are on page 5 but are more competitive I should be on page one in no time once i start building links and adding good content.

on to my 1st question

The website is a redesign and a rebrand of an exsiting site. so the content is the same just changed the name and added new pages i did a 301 on all my pages on the old site. but it seems only the homepage redirected not the internal pages.

So I think my new website is being penalised since when i type its name in to google its not showing up even though its name is in the domain name.

last night i hadded php redirects in each page on the old site.

any idea on whats going on? and how long for my old domain to get deindexed? thanks

Are you using Google.com or UK to search ?

uk search.

when i do site: domain name

all my pages show including the homepage. but im not sure why its not ranking for its own name. there is only a million results i should be on the 1st page.

Question ?

Is .co.uk considered as a TLD ?
If so let say keyword .co.uk is available and having 10k exact searches in US and 1k in UK , so will keyword .co.uk rank high G .com and G .co.uk ?

.co.uk is a top country level domain. .uk.com is a top level domain

in my experience I haven't seen much difference in the results for .com/.co.uk plus my site is hosted on an american server. (which is annoying)

No No No

.co.uk is a TLD and really is the one to go for.

IMHO .uk.com is a con trick from centralnic of moorgate london.

If you do a WHOIS on uk.com you'll find it registered to them.
UK.COM is like any other dot.com that you own like mydomain.com

Purchasing mydomain.uk.com is simply buying a SUBDOMAIN from uk.com

It is not a true domain.

Have you ever triied doing a command line WHOIS on anythinhg.uk.com?

Doesnt want to know

Rubbish

Yes .co.uk considered as a TLD

Since it's a TLD, so it depend on SEO. IMHO
.com rank better since it's earlier and people tend to click .com instead of .co.uk

they have 70 domain authority out of the bat whats not to like about them? plus they are unique. i own .co.uk aswel buts its a 301 to my site
