If your site has been danced around or dumped down in SERPs by Google Penguin or similar algorithm changes, or you've been targeted by a negative SEO attack that has ruined your sites income potential - you might want to consider the link disavow process.
Link disavow?
Ok - joking (oh if only it was funny) aside. To perform a link disavow you need to know what links are pointing to your site, and then sort through them, sifting the good from the bad. The spam from the valuable - and that's where the problem lies.
The link lists that Google or Majestic or whoever are likely to provide are often HUUUUUUGGGEEEE
We are talking tens of thousands of lines of links. And for many I've spoken to, that's the end of the story:
"No way can I work through that lot - 301 or start a new site - this ones bolloxed"
This is an issue, and one I've dealt with for clients and more recently myself as over the last week site after site of mine has been targeted for negative SEO attacks. Huge ones, 60,000 links in a weekend etc. And I wanted a way to get rid of most of the crap quickly. A method of sorting through the links quickly.
Reducing 10,000 links in a list to 300 I can look through manually. Getting rid of 95-97% of the crap in an automated (or at least semi automated) way
And while you're at it, how about speeding up preparation needed for a reconsideration process if that is also required. It needed some thought, a method and writing out that method it became... a tutorial for quick efficient link appraisal and disavow list creation.
So here it is .....

In less than 20 minutes watching these two videos and reading the relatively small article, downloading the resources and making a cup of coffee - you'll be ready to get rid of these links and get your site back on the road to recovery.
Get in quick. I reckon Google are going to be neck deep in these requests in the next month or two. Their own fault for being dumb enough to reward spam!
