    What exactly is YouTube?

YouTube is a video sharing site that was founded on February 2005. It mainly originated to facilitate video sharing between friends and families. But fortunately for us advertisers, It turned out to be a gold mine full of traffic waiting to be mined. YouTube is the second most popular site in the world with a little over 1,000,000,000 views every day. Now, it's not possible to covert all that traffic into prospective buyers but even with a particular niche you can earn a lot. It is ironical to note that YouTube is owned by the most popular site Google. (statistics from Alexa ranking)

How to get ranked on YouTube?

Until very recently, rankings on YouTube were only determined by views. Be it mobile, referrer or anything. Now you can hear people say that mobile views are worth nothing. But that's were they go wrong. Mobile views do have SEO juice IF THEY HAVE GOOD AUDIENCE RETENTION. This is what YouTube uses to rank the videos, Audience Retention. But views are not the only factors of a high ranking. It's also determined by how well you're audience is engaged (comments) and how many people like your video (likes & favorites). Here's a tip : It's better to have 10 views with good audience retention than 1,000,000 Views with low audience retention. Believe me, it just kills your rankings and turns out 0% profits. The next most important thing is BACKLINKS. But not just any backlinks. You need high PR-7 Or PR-8 backlinks to be ranked at a very high position on YouTube. Cheap backlinks just kill your position on YouTube.

    What are Baclinks?

Backlinks basically mean how many sites or blogs have your video embedded. It determines the credibility of your YouTube video. What YouTube thinks is, if these sites or blogs have embedded your video then it probably must be good. Hence it ranks your video higher than others when a search is made on your niche. You can either purchase good quality backlinks from the B-S-T section or manually submit your videos to sites that you think have credit.

Where can I get good views, comments and likes?

There're lots of services that offer you views at a very cheap rate and high audience retention. Beware, stay away from fiverr gigs unless you think the seller is well reputed and has completed many orders. People have come crying because they have lost their money in fiverr but to no avail. Personally I'd recommend Big Buddy's services as he gives good retention views at a price lower than anybody else. theknown's SYV used to be good till he stopped giving retention views. The software works on a credit exchange system but you can only get mobile views. What i would suggest is add a variety of views. A little mobile views, a little social referrer views, a little retention views to make your video look more original. After all "Variety Is The Spice Of Life". Don't forget to add some comments, likes and favorites so that your video doesn't get banned. Big Buddy also provides comments. But for the likes & favorites, you can use any exchange site. Warning :- Don't use exchange sites for comments. This is because most of them are scam. They go like "love your videos", ï've subscribed, ÿou should make more etc.

    Some Tips and Tricks!

Remember to include your parent keyword in your title, description and tags. Start your description with your website link and also end it with it. Keep it short and sweet because nobody would like to read something which is long and boring (personal experience).

Good networks to be partnered with?!

You can partner with a variety of networks. If your videos are based on gaming then you can opt for Machinima (When you partner with Machinima, basically you're a bound slave. And i don't think you can opt out of the contract. So go for this only if you're brave enough to risk your channel. I think TGN would be better). If its something else the SocialBlade Would be good. If its music then Fullscreen is the best. Unless you have more than 100,000,000 views on one of your originals, then you can opt for VEVO. If your videos are excellent and you have a good engaged audience then maybe you could get partnered with YouTube itself.

What is the benefit of partnership on YouTube?

Once you're partnered you will be eligible for partner only special options like banners, clickable ads beside your video and various other benefits. Some networks like SocialBlade And Machinima also advertise your video on their sites or their YouTube channels. Hence, more and more traffic for your videos.

If you have any doubts then please don't hesitate to hit me up with a P.M.

hope this short tutorial has helped newbies who are entering the YouTube world and hopefully some veterans also.
    Cheers,
    The Interminator.

Good guide but I wouldn't be so keen on Machinima. Don't they have a contract that says that all of your future videos belong to them?

Can you advise me what kind of video to create? I mean possible ones. I have no skills or anything when it comes to creating video. And I got accidentally got partnered with youtube. Yes I applied at adsense via youtube and got accepted. Now I don't know how I can monetize this. I am thinking of compiling funny vids as this kind of videos is getting a lot views. What I am worried about is if this is accepted to be monetize or not.
