Hello, I have purchased a TurnkeyInternet VPS on the occasion of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

But I have not used it since then. Today, I tried to login into my server but I was shocked to know that I wasn't able to login and I had to change the Password of my server since the old password wasn't working.

I then logged in after changing the password and I was so much shocked when I opened the Chrome that there were multiple websites which I have never even heard off opened.

There were manual activity on such websites multiple times.

On Firefox, I have noticed that someone has logged into three different Yahoo Accounts as well.

I would recommend you to stay away from this host since they are selling for cheap but it isn't a quality company nor they care about the customer.

Someone on the other forum already warned me but that was about the wrong RAM or hardware information.

But what I have experienced is just way more than the RAM issues. It's alot about your personal security.

CEO of TurnkeyInternet: I'm very much sad from your service. I tried talking to your support but they weren't really helpful.

Either refund me or let this thread be here. Since, I'm doing something really good for the people to keep them away from your company which is following such practices.

There are multiple possible scenarios why it had such usage:

1. You are reselling the already sold VPSs which aren't actively used.
2. You are reselling the already sold VPSs.
3. You are sharing the VPSs.
4. Your support/billing/sales are using the VPSs which aren't used by the client.
5. You are using the fake/vulnerable to hack/malwared Windows Images.
6. You are using the illegal copies or torrent downloaded copy of Windows.

But this case is not possible: Any leakage of password or anything from my side.

If there was any problem from my side, then it wouldn't just be this VPS. There are hell loads of things apart from VPS I have on my PC.

I use best Internet Security Pack + I don't download the softwares. I don't use cracks, keygen or anything like that.

It's clearly a fault from your side. I have used many small and big companies but never seen such thing.

Thanks.

I just tried to login into the server and here what I see:

Yeah man, That's a serious issue with them. It's not even a hardware problem. It's a security issues with them and we can't rely on it.

I must say an average seller on BHW must be better than this TurnkeyInternet Hosting.

A BIG NO TO TURNKEYINTERNET

Another thing found the proof that someone else is using the VPS and they have installed multiple software on it:

It could be also that your vps password was cracked, bruteforce.

1. I had a very long password.

2. Secondly, if that happens how do the hacker knows the IP? It's possible they have access to their infra already.

3. If hacker has access to their server, it is just not me, it's all of their customer must be facing or someone of them but this company is doing nothing.

4. I'm damn sure there is something wrong with this company.

I've been using 2 of their dedicated servers for more than 3 months - I haven't experienced even one issue with their service. Eveything was setup really fast and their customer service is great. I am not affilated with them. Just write to their support and try to figure out what's going on.

it suggests that your vps is shared .

Shared VPS doesn't mean that they all access the same computer. It just means that several servers run on one computer. Normally everyone has their vps that runs on the machine and they can't connect to the other vps'es

yes i know this . but didn't the image signify that the user windows vps server is used by other users as well ?

Thats true, there are other people connected to the VPS. I just meant that this shouldn't be the way it is. TurnkeyInternet doesn't mention anything on their website about this.

In short, Your server was compromised if i am not wrong. For your bad security setting, turnkeyinternet should not be blamed. Did you contact them? Can you post their reply with screenshot?

Thanks

What was your problem and did they fail to make you satisfy? What was your demand and what did they tell you?

Interested to know more about this :)

Never knew, Hardware issue could make issues like the ones you are facing. It is a Security matter.

Turnkey is a Registered entity who own their Datacenter as well. Your server is clearly got hacked or compromised which is the normal scenario with Windows Servers these days if you ask me.

My experience is telling this. You should not blame Turnkeyinternet for it directly without knowing.

it suggests that your vps is shared .

This screenshot is telling that the hacker created more than 2 or 3 users in the server. RDPs.

It is simple & can be created in both VPS and Dedicated servers. Your claim is wrong here.

You know anything about making RDP users in a Server? Microsoft does not allow more than 2-3 users same time until you install Cal (Client Access License).

If you are confused, Do not spread wrong information.

Hope this helps.

You have a Windows Server? (VPS or Dedi Does not matter)
Just create more users from the 'User Accounts' feature and see the same.

This is OS feature related. Ask Microsoft, Not Turkney :)

Its because its one VPS and they made multiple USERS for it - I do the same with my dedicated servers for myself to run different tasks in different users same time. But they shares same system, same hdd, same program files and many things. For me it sounds linke 10 years old runs VPS business there or wtf but its mega problem all your info is shared with all users, you can copy all files, passwords and anything you want its like same laptop with differnet users profiles. AND at the moment 2 users can use it at a time. Its windows server limitation. 3 users cant be connected on same server at a same time if you dont have business licence for this and these guys seems dont.

He definitely should blame them, it's not his mistake. Now I understand why they have low prices, it's obvious what they do.

Did he purchase extra Server security package or Managed Plan from the Vendor? Why Would you blame the host? Getting a server compromised is not a rare scenario at the moment.

Do you think the TurnkeyInternet team should keep that server monitored 24x7? Did he pay for that extra care?

Just wondering to know.
