Tumblr downtime

Prepare for Tumblr downtime Saturday 10/06/2012, 4AM EDT.

"We are preparing for any issues that may arise and want you to expect your blogs to be unavailable starting at 4 a.m. EDT this Saturday (Oct. 6), and to come back online slowly over the next few hours," writes Tumblr engineering VP Blake Matheny.

So who will get the traffic, pinterest? Or will people just sleep instead of browsing Tumblr?

Nothing new, websites do this all the time. Even BHW has done it in the past.

Downtime sucks, but it is a fact of life. That's funny though..."what'll people do sleep..." or go to Pinterest. LOL

I agree downtime does suck. There have been so many times when I posted something and the site goes down at same time lol
