I would like to know where the website is getting traffic from e.g. Instagram or specific website/url. I like the similarweb pro function to do this but I'm looking for better options and alternatives.

Could you guys recommend some tools that can do that?

SimilarWeb Pro is indeed a popular tool for analyzing website traffic sources, but there are other alternatives you can consider. Here are a few tools that can provide insights into website traffic sources:

1. SEMrush: This tool offers comprehensive analytics, including traffic sources, keyword research, and competitive analysis.

2. Google Analytics: It provides detailed information about website traffic sources, including direct traffic, organic search, social media, referral links, and more. It's a widely used and reliable option.

3. Ahrefs: Primarily known for its backlink analysis, Ahrefs also provides insights into organic search traffic and referral sources.

4. Alexa: This platform offers traffic analytics, including sources, demographics, and engagement metrics. It provides competitive analysis and audience insights as well.

5. Moz: Moz offers a suite of SEO tools, including website traffic analysis. It provides information on traffic sources, keyword rankings, and backlinks.

Remember to explore the features and pricing plans of each tool to find the one that suits your needs and budget the best.

What if I want to track what specific channels drive traffic but not from my own website but competitors?

I think you should consider using Ahrefs, Moz. You can see which tools are suitable for you because all of these tools have a fee that you need to consider.

According to me SEMRush is best SEO Tool for competitor analysis, because it allows you to get insights into your competitors’ strategies in display advertising, organic and paid search, and link building. You can easily analyze which are the best performing keywords of your competitors. It also enables you to analyze competitors display ads and get the right keywords for both your SEO and PPC campaigns.

Greetings! I'm currently exploring ways to use Ahrefs, Semrush tools with low budget. Do you have any practical tips or tricks to share regarding cost-effective utilization of these tools? Your wisdom and expertise would be greatly appreciated!

Build a team to use is also a way to reduce costs. Alternatively, you can use this service, it has a low price, but it doesn't provide 24/7 support.

I use SEMrush ,Ahref and Google analytics. You can use any one of this because all tools are best.

Choose the tool that best fits your needs and budget.

Some tools to track website traffic sources include Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Alexa, and Clicky, offering comprehensive insights into traffic origins and patterns.

Ahrefs will be more helpful for your need

Check the backlink profile in the tool so you can get a detailed overview of all the backlinks and where it comes from.
