Too Many Backlinks

One of my website got over 9000 backlinks in yahoo but only 12 in Google.

Pun intended?

Anyway your question does seem valid but from what I've learned from this forum is that Google's algorithm doesn't act on whether backlinks exists or not.

The Google's algorithm calculates three things website's backlinks
in this order of significance (if they even get indexed):

1) The quality of the backlink (Page rank of the referring site or .edu, .gov)
2) Anchored text for the targeted keyword (I.E. Keyword - "Four slice toaster")
3) The number of backlinks

I outsource all of my backlinks so the way I see it obtaining links that look legitimate to Google costs more money since you have to build them up week by week. A simple xrumer blast will have you sky rocket through the ranks in days and it's cheaper but there is the big risk of Google sandboxing you...

I have over 60,000+ backlinks in Google, but I think Google counts the domain name though it doesn't have any effect.

What I do want to say is, go at a rate that you want to go for, for the rest of the domain lifetime. I build around 2,000 backlinks a week with rss feed excluding what I do with scrapebox commenting.

I just started doing the RSS feed method, I don't see it helping to get the links index faster yet. But I know when I just build (profile) backlinks and don't ping them it takes 2-3 months to get index. I will see how the RSS feed works out for me and will it sandbox my ass :D

Hi, Im wondering how did you built so much backlinks per day, any tips will be appreciated.:)

Outsource..started with some article submissions and now mostly scrapebox and xrumer blasts...i help google index them by posting rss feeds with the links in them..about 50 rss feeds per day each containing 40 links.. which makes google find about 2k links per day

How exactly do you use this RSS method?

Let's say I sprayed out 200 links to my WEB 2.0 Website. Now I have the links also in a seperate file with scrapebox to actually see if theyr : Indexed, Successfully commented. If google will not index the pages (or RE-Index) you will not get any juice, or ranking. So what exactly is this RSS method you are talking about of getting your backlinks indexed?

Many thanks, Luca

You cannot get a permanent sandbox for backlinks - period.
Will people stop talking SHIT

If you could, then I would aim a 50,000 blast with my Xrumer set up with 50,000 porn links at all my competitors and let rip.

It doesn't work - it shouldn't work. It would be so easy to abuse.
Sites are boxed for content only. (really nasty stuff, the descriptions of which I won't even go into here)

Please stop talking wanky dribble about link sandboxing. It has never happened and it never will.

If you site moves up or down, that's just google shuffling. I thappens to new sites AND old. The most common reason is.

YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH BACKLINKS

The ones you thought you had have either not been found, been deleted, or a load of competitors have overtaken you with more.
This "too many backlinks" myth really winds me up. Think about it folks, we could all destroy our competitors with a tool as simple and cheap as scrapebox if this were the case.

I have some sites with more than 200k backlinks, but the rank of keywords are lower than some other sites with less than 20k backlinks. So, backlinks is not the one.

My thought it that at some point google has real humans working and viewing websites and viewing they're stats at the same time, and they give an overall score which has some type of weight over the real overall page rank etc...

You can't have too many backlinks, the main point is if it looks natural to google or not. (because you might get a temporary penalty some call the "sandbox")

It\s always good to have more bl's ..just you should make them to look natural. Not 1000's at once for new website , for example

there have been many case studies to prove that you can not have too many backlinks too fast like the guy who who was on page 1 for the keyword "Sex" with like a 60 day old site with many tens of thousands backinks that many of here on BHW were following. Remember?
Thanks,
Philgood

That could really depend. His backlinks are mostly xrumer links. If you have quality links, no matter how many backlinks u gotten, it's still fine.

I'm pumping more than 1000 links a day but only around 100 links but it's still okay too.

I am one of those that things that you can have to many back links. If you get the right kind of key terms you can do a lot less work and still be ranked on the first page.

Like i said, you cant have too many backlinks too fast...

There is no difference in "quality" between Xrumer links and other links per se.

However, there are 3 issues with them.

1) Low stick rate (20% seems abount the average - so 1000 a day will yield 200)

2) Some sites penalise a high percentage of profile links. Google don't..but WEB2.0 sites like squidoo do. There aren't many sites that do this yet, and if Profile links (no matter how you obtain them..Xrumer or otherwise) should be mixed in with other link types.

3) Comment links are actively penalised over a certain percentage by Google.
You will get your site "examined" for a week or two if you suddenly get a huge increase in comment links - also you will not benefit from links gained this way over a certain percentage of your total link structure.

But for the most part - a link is a link. Xrumer can make more than just profile links, and there is no way that Google knows any link made by Xrumer is bot made UNLESS there are thousands of identical links disocvered in a short time - in which case it's algorithm seems to simply discard most of them.

Spin your link text, mix up your link types.

It's not rocket surgery or brain science

The people who say there is "no such thing as too many backlinks" or "any link is a good link" probably have yet to see any of their sites filtered in Google

Nope - I've had just about every site filtered. I lost 100 microniche sites last year (adsense) many page 1 sites were suddenly not in the top 100. Some had been earning for me for 4 or 5 years

I threatened legal action against Google for withholding over $18,000 from my adsense account (that I had had since the day after adsense began)

I KNOW that none of my long term slaps had anything to do with links.

Google have said so themselves. It would then be entirely possible to destroy your competition by aiming Xrumer links from - say animal sex sites (or worse) straight at your competitors - and by doing so get them banned.

Long term slaps are for breach of TOS, irresponsible commercialization (if you are selling but don't have clear "about us, terms and consditions, contact us etc set up) poor site content, misleading site content. a VERY slow site (poosibly with obfuscation - such as old fashioened pop-ups etc.

No site has ever had a long term ban for links - ever.

Short term reshuffles while it sorts out where you should be. (up to 3 months on some cases, but most often a few weeks)

But never a ban.

PS I still have my adsense account, Google paid 75% of my final earnings (the account had made well over $650,000 over it's lifetime)
I then switched to bigger sites selling stuff that made a minimum of $20 dollars rather than 5 cents (average is about $50 per sale for some large hosehold white goods etc).

Don't touch Google adsense now. Waste of effort. Almost back up to my old earning levels already with less than 12 sites. So much easier. I've spread the risk though several product types and CPA / affiliate systems. Replacing a couple of sites would be the worst that could happen of say someone like Amazon went bust now. Feel a whole lot better for it.

If you have a fresh website, it is recommended to focus more on quality backlinks than the quantity.

Then after that, maybe few months later.. you can now campaign for thousands of backlinks per month. The only key here is to be constant in creating backlinks.

What Ravz said.

Quality and consistency over time.

What is a buffer site how do I go about it ? pls help Ive just been sandoxed by google

I think too many backlinks is difficult.
I think few quality backlinks are better than a lots of spam or any simple backlinks.
So, it is not important that how many backlinks do you have.
The main thing is that how many quality backlinks do you have.:fingersx:
